where was he when Leeds were sliding down the table under Venables? Sulking. We need players who turn it on throughout the season, not just when they feel like it. At his best he is very good. At his worst he is abysmal.</strong><hr></blockquote>
To be fair to Viduka, the whole team were in the dumps because of all the chopping & changing of the management team & the selling of the top players & that's why they are where they are, so he cannot be blamed for Leeds' downfall.
And in further defence of him, he did go on a fantastic goal run of 14 goals in Leeds' last 11 matches when Reid managed to stabilise the ship & not only scored the winner against Arsenal, but wondefully created Kewell's 2nd chance against the Gunners which the latter spurned. ( how many of us were willing Leeds to win & deep in our hearts, were turning to Viduka & Kewell to make it happen?
)
Viduka's only 27+, is tall ( 6ft 2ins ) & a very good targetman, can score lots of goals, having 59 in 134 games for Leeds in all competitions & 21 times in 40 games this season, a very good return by any striker's standard!
Whether he is suitable to play for Utd or whether we want him is another matter, but I just wanted to lay the stats for those who might not actually know of his record.
