Yeah just the type of player Jose likes
Maybe the opposite, Jose likes his old players and has managed Casemiro before. It would be glorious if Jose takes Rashy and Ole takes Case to Turkey.
No way he wants to go to turkey and no way they cover 50% or more of his salary. move on
Nah. feck that. Criticise him where it's due, but not for that.Brutal from Amorim, but it's about time he was called out. He has the mentality of a child and obviously just wants to be a celebrity and doesn’t care about football.
The school meals work was admirable, but ultimately I fear it was just a self-serving way of trying to protect himself from criticism.
He's completely out of touch, making zero effort while earning more in a week than most people do in several years. It's a disgrace and he deserves all the criticism coming his way.
The poster boy of Manchester United's decline.
Nah. feck that. Criticise him where it's due, but not for that.
I know it's difficult to hear - I didn't like saying it, but I think he's perhaps a bit more calculating than people have realised. We can't know for sure though. At least it did some good, whatever the motive.
He's effectively stealing millions from the club at this point, tantamount to theft... doesn't show good character.
Indeed. If anything he found a new passion as his one for football has obviously faded.Nah. feck that. Criticise him where it's due, but not for that.
Whatever narrative is painted we aint getting a fee for a player who is on £350k and averages 8 league goals per season in ten years. That ship has sailed, the way we are going to manage his and Antony's exit is by perrenially loaning them out until their deals are up.Why do you think guys like Fabrizio Romano make a living off of feeding messages of agents and clubs to the public? Certain narratives drive up interest in players and strengthen or weaken negotiating positions. Guys like Romano get paid because they make players, clubs and agents money by doing so. Transfer values are not objectively calculated. If a coach says he'd rather play his 63 year old coaching colleague than Rashford you can bet this will be used in negotiations to reduce the price, regardless of the facts the scouts have already obtained. And it might even put off some higher ups who have to approve the budget in other clubs. If you have ever worked with a bad/narcissistic CEOs in a company (and there are plenty) you'll know that the experts in an organization might have and provide all the information in the world to him/her, but if such a CEO reads a certain headline, they might chose to ignore their advisors.
Nah. It’s just bollocks. As is the rest of the post above. You’re letting your emotions cloud your judgement.I know it's difficult to hear - I didn't like saying it, but I think he's perhaps a bit more calculating than people have realised. We can't know for sure though. At least it did some good, whatever the motive.

We need to stop with this line. United is not a charity or a government. It’s a for-profit business that has revenues in the hundreds of millions, has shares, has a corporate structure, lawyers, accountants, etc.
It is United’s fault and United’s fault alone that they gave him a huge long term contract. He’s stealing nothing.
Now United are trying to remedy the situation by pushing him out and I agree with that. We need to fix our mistakes, and hopefully for us and for Rashford he cooperates, but if he doesn’t, we’d be paying for our mistake. A more generous way to look at it is that every transfer or contract carries with it a risk for the player, and a risk for the club. You won’t get all of them right and we got this one very wrong.

There's more nuance to football contracts certainly, but at what other job could you turn up, do very little, and get paid in full without some sort of disciplinary measures being taken.
He's taking millions from the club and refuses to work for it. What would you call it?
Fair enough if that's your opinion.
When "do very little" means show up when and where you're supposed to, do the tasks given to you, but not to the absolute best of your ability and probably take opportunities to relax and slack off a bit, that is something you can do in almost all jobs while receiving full pay.
and then when we have a squad stacked with championship level players on low wages..what do you think will happen? Its quite obvious now from those comments that Rashford has been turning down offers from clubs and this is hopefully their way of telling him to do one in a very public and humiliating manner.
There will always be a club looking to take a chance on a player like Rashford and its probably his lofty attitude of himself plus his wages that are holding the show up. Just look at the baggage around Greenwood and someone took the chance.
If he REALLY wanted to be back playing regular football he would have had a move lined up at the start of the window but PRashford is looking for some triple AAA move with money and a media campaign to match.
The club really has to take a good look at itself too, there are too many players of this ilk coming through the ranks over the years where fame and money seem to be trumping the actual football. Its about time football took precedence over money, turnover and the newest Asian noodle partner sponsor.
But not for long, especially as the highest paid employee - you'd be out the door pretty quickly. Rashford is perfectly entitled to carry on like this until June 2028 and there's not a thing we can do about it.
Great.
He will stay, will probably be reintegrated to the team after apologizing to everyone inside and will be sold/loaned this summer.
Don't think a loan with his wages can be solved in 4 days.
Ok even if that's true, who cares? He helped a lot of families and kids out that were going through hard times.Brutal from Amorim, but it's about time he was called out. He has the mentality of a child and obviously just wants to be a celebrity and doesn’t care about football.

Well despite all that the value will still be higher than zero currently, so a further decrease is possible. Mainly the percentage of salary on a loan, probably. But Amorim obviously has other things on his mind than a couple of millions saved in Rashfords wages. Seeing as he is delivering a media headline every week we can safely asume this is deliberate and strategic. He has taken a page out of the Mourinho playbook, his supposed idol. Let's see if he succeeds with it.Given he has been available for a while, actively engaged in conversations with other clubs, and United have repeatedly put out messages in the media to the effect that they're okay with him leaving, in addition to him not actually playing for weeks, how much more can Amorim's comments undermine any value?
Rashford is on crazy wages, in poor form, and all the messaging is that the club would be happy for him to move. One comment from Amorim isn't going to make any difference.
A hypothetical we probably at least need to entertain now... If there is absolutely no market for him, and he refuses to go to Saudi, what exactly do you do with a player happy to sit on this contract for 3 years?
It's the telegraph. It means nothing. What does “crossing a line” even mean in this situation?
Amorim will not and should not be sacked. Rashford has abused the privilege of being a highly paid Manchester United player. His wages are far in excess of the value of his contributions to the club.
Whether Rashford is personally hurt by the comments is irrelevant.
