His pace has completely gone. There was one moment in the first half where he had a straight footrace against Sam Morsy, 33 year old career League One and Champo DM. Didn't even come close to beating him.

Without that, he just simply isn't good enough at anything else to be a United player.

If this thread is more active than the Garnacho one for critique it's evident of hidden agenda's / biases or outright blind assessments.

Wasn't good by any stretch but wasn't the worst of the forward line.

Biggest issue with Marcus is his physicality is gone, he's lost half a yard of speed and doesn't have the game intelligence to rely on his technicalities.

Deserves to start over Hojlund IMHO. Easily. Whether he wants to seize the opportunity is down to his mental state.
After that, I don't think he does. Got that goal but otherwise stunk the place out. At least when Hojlund came on in the same position he put them under pressure and won us some corners and so on.

Don't see him as the starting 9 in this system, but as one of the two players in behind

Keep playing him and the manager won't be successful here

His pace is absolutely cooked too

Or it's a reflection that one is supposed to be a superstar and one is still a kid.

Rubbish as usual. If we're not actively trying to sell next summer I'll question the judgement of Ashworth and Wilcox

Except you're missing one major point - Rashford has been lazy and average for far too long now. He's being consistently picked and is consistently shite. Everyone is sick of it. Whereas Garnacho is 7 years younger than Rashford

Did his job by scoring. But blimey, that is miles off a £350k p/w performance.

Forward line altogether looks midtable level

Amorims tenure depends on how quickly he can bench Rashy . Jose ole ralf and ten hag all paid the price because they wanted to keep him in the starting 11

It was apparent in that moment he is not gonna be the same player anymore. Think he may need to change leagues. Perhaps MLS or Serie A.

I can’t cope with him walking when the ball is 5 yards away, why is he not making a challenge and why are none of our players screaming at him to close the man down, it’s infuriating!

Hojlund couldnt interlink a single pass right. He made one good run and didnt have the balls to take a shot and fd up the pass aswell.

Rashford scored a tap-in and then was like “I reckon that’s enough for me today, I’ve earned this rest.”

It doesn't matter it's a performance thread, Garnacho put in a stinker his age is of no relevance not doing the basics right and making woeful judgements when it comes to his end product.

He just doesn't look like he's got any fire left in him. Has to go at the end of the season.

Yeah right I feel you, when he’s just walking and watching the ball being passed 2 yards in front of him. Not like it’s not been pointed out before, reminds me of that clip of Ross Barkley running round him like a training cone. Unbelievable it’s allowed to slide at this level.

Got his goal and then disappeared. Thought he’d have been up and at them but still looked the same. Sometimes tracking back but a lot of the time not.

Worrying if he still looks the same as he did despite a new head coach.

When was the last time a player scored that early and ended up doing actually nothing the rest of the time on the pitch??

He's done at this level, when he tried to chase that one through ball, he looked like Zirksee with how slow he was

Expected him to come out flying looking to impress and then when he got that tap in your thinking here we go but honestly didn’t look like he gave a crap which is par for course with him.

Maybe didn’t like that Amorin sided with the it wasn’t a good idea to fly to America and has decided that he’ll just coast till another manager gets sacked.

I hoped he would kick on after the goal but looked as clueless as I expected him up front for the reaminig 80 mins

Usually a player who scores deservedly gets a lot of leeway, but even taking that into account he was absolutely dreadful. And do we need anymore evidence that his pace is completely gone?

Everything about him annoys me. His football. His attitude. His effort. His application. His stupid fecking celebration. The way he carries himself.

27 years old and has been in the side for nearly a decade and still has no clue how to play as a centre forward. He's absolutely done because he's lost the dynamism to be an effective winger.

His football intelligence is so so low and it explains why he's only really excelled at Ole and Ten Hag Bruno/Rashford ball.
