I rate the fact Ruben kept him sat on his fecking ass whilst we needed a goal quite highly.

This must be torture for him tbh. Whatever point Ruben is trying to get across must've been gotten by now, not playing him for even a single minute today was very very strange. Just sell at this point. Anyone who expects him to be motivated to play for us again has got it horribly wrong tbh. Even if he messed up or had an issue with Amorim this is horrible treatment. We've seen players have terrible off the pitch behavior and get treated better than this.

We’ve lost every game since he was dropped so at least shows there are far bigger problems than Rashford.

He wants to move, no point playing a player who is not committed, and risking an injury just before the window opens.

Not sure why he was there, as he clearly had no intention of bringing him on.

I'd like to think he was protecting him from injury for a transfer, but I doubt it.

So let me get this straight: Amorin said we have had 4 trainings right? The first one everyone seems to think went well, we know that he said that Rashford and Garnacho trained good the morning of the City game, so that leaves us with 2 trainings where Rashford wasn't up to par? How does that warant an exclusion for 5 games but Höjlund can run around during the games and be absolutely shit and that leads to nothing?

There's more to work than just showing up and collecting the paycheque. He's visibly not applied himself in matches since 2021 or so, save for that 3 month purple patch in ETH's first season, and apparently hasn't been working all that hard in training or following manager instructions. Letting someone get away with that is awful for club culture long term. It's worth accommodating for a player who scores 25+ league goals per season, not one who gets close to 20 a couple of times in his career, depending on whether he can be bothered to put in the effort.

Yep, brilliant management that.

Should see us competitive in the championship next season.
I'd honestly take it. Ship as many of the first team out as possible, with the exception of four or five. Have a season with a tonne of 23s and 18s in the squad. Get the wage structure back in order.

I don't know how many years it will take for some fans to realise that Rashford is not the solution to any of our problems.

If he plays, we are practically down to 10 men.

I’ll give up my STs and stop going to aways next season if we’re in the championship. Am I less of a United fan?
Yes you are, no true fan would give up going to games because their team got relegated, there are valid reasons to stop going but that's not one of them

Anyone complaining about Rashfords exclusion should be forced to include a community note stating they are referring to the purple patch Rashford from 3 seasons ago.

Not the big ego/PR, huge contract, inconsistent effort, negligible goal contributing Rashford we’ve all watched since then

I like to think it's Ruben/The Clubs way of saying if we're paying you until we can offload you, we aren't letting you just chill at home ala Sancho. He was never getting a minute tonight under any score line.
