march madness

I run the pool here, so I'm still busy collecting all the forms from everyone else and haven't had time to consider whether Villanova can beat UCLA or Duke might sneak past UConn.

BTW, what a joke that Indiana was seeded 6th. San Diego State is going to kick the shit out of them.

indiana is on a roll and sdsu is not. i'm tempted to put indiana in the sweet 16. gonzaga is over-rated.

SDSU might not be on a "roll," but didn't they win both the regular season title and the tournament for the MWC? I didn't see the Hoosiers in the Big 10 final, so how much momentum are they supposed to be carrying into the tournament?

won 5 in a row before losing to eventual big 10 champs ohio state by a point in the big 10 tournament (including wins over michigan state and wisconsin). mwc is a shitty conference. they lost to air force. enough said.

Kentucky's my team, but I feel that Duke will take it. Redick has been on fire, and I expect him to carry the team. They double up on him, and you have Hansen.

 Indiana lost to powerhouse Indiana State (finished 13-16, tied for last in MVC)

you had pacific beating bc? that's major cajones.

Pacific looked good throughout the season and in their league tourney. They were underrated as a 13. Damn good game, wasn't it? I picked Tennessee, but I'd throw away the points to have Winthrop take them out.

i can't continue to watch these ncaa tournament games if people are going to cry like this when they lose.

I didn't see anyone from Bradley or WV boo-hooing after their matches. Someone should buy Morrison a large collection of Pampers for his initiation into the NBA.

That I had UCLA picked to advance has nothing to do with my feelings on the matter.:boring:

there's something quite sad about someone wanting something that bad, thinking they had it, and then losing in spectacular fashion to ucla. i had ucla, too, but after morrison starting crying, i wanted baptista to hit that shot at the end. call me a softy, but i couldn't take him rolling around on the floor like that. the image is now seared into my brain. there's really few things worse than watching a grown man cry. well, a grown man crying and then being lit of fire. but you get what i'm saying.

I love duke basketball.

my best friend goes there, and since columbia are shit at everything, nothing makes me happier than to see that team get stuffed.

JJ reddick, you're having a laugh indeed. If only Carolina were still in it, to add salt into Duke wounds with a tournament victory.

If you were older, you might hate UNC. After Duke's loss to UCLA in the 1964 NCAA championship game, the Blue Devils went into the tank until about 1978. During that time, I started hearing too much crap about how great the ACC was and how great Dean Smith was as a coach--and watching that damned "4 corners" offense ruin the game. For all the recruits, publicity, and beatification--how many championships did Smith actually win.

When Duke finally started winning a bit, it was a welcome relief from the Tarheel mania that had swept the media.

great excitement here in No. VA 'cos of the George Mason run.
congrats to them for making it this far.

bet some money on them in Vegas on Friday. sweet!
