The "Is Bruno a legend?" thread and its criteria from some on what makes a legend is the prompt. For some, you can't be a legend here unless you've at least won the league (major trophy is cited most of the time, but that more boils down to league title than CL/EC), so the question here is per the title: Excluding league title winning players, who makes it into our greatest barren period xi?

There are essentially three pools of players to select from if we go post-war: pre and post-Busby and post-Fergie, but realistically, it's the last two that names are likely to be drawn from. I've an idea of an xi in my head, but am curious to see where this thread goes organically and whether some sort of consensus is drawn.

Unfortunately, the pool of players to select from is widening with the passage of time, and perhaps if/when City are hopefully dealt with, that pool will reduce, but as of now, it's a vast enough amount of players to make for some interesting variance.

So long as the player has no league title here, they are eligible. So who makes it into your team?

Gregg
Anderson - McGrath - Buchan - Shaw
Moses - Wilkins
Coppell - Bruno - Rashford
Ibrahimovic
Midfield is tricky - there are several options in there.

1. Gregg
2. Duxbury
3. Albiston
4. Wilkins
5. McGrath
6. Buchan
7. Coppell
8. Giles
9. Rashford
10. Whiteside
11. Mitten

Pre-war include Jack Silcock and Joe Spence who regularly won representative honours.
