Obsession.

I work In MancLand - I've got mates from before there who support Man Utd - from London, From Herts, From Cambridge, Ireland and Manchester (!)

We get on fine. We have a laugh. We have banter.

Is this 'bindipper' and suchlike a insecure aspect of your life? The Northwest of England has suffered with these wanker southerners.. But LFC and MU(FC?) Have their share.. so if they have a go at the NorthWest they'd have a go at Man Utd and Liverpool and Everton.. and...?

90% of the lads I work with (IN MancLand) are decent lads. I KNOW that at least that figure of Man Utd fans are rational, decent and honest.

To label an area of the Northwest with terms like 'bindippers' etc.. (or robbers) or whatever is not only childish -it's pathetic - what about IT professionals - Doctors? Nurses? Paramedics? Bankers? Politicions?

The only word to describe such people that think that way are : BIGOTS.

PURE..

AND..


SIMPLE...

I work in Manchester (Cheadle) My Dad (who worked in the armed forces - which tragically led to his death - meant I lived round the country. The more you move around - the more you realise that people ARE the same.

I salute totally Manchester United all they've done and won.

This is very interesting--so you've never referred to Mancs as "scum" I suppose? (Even on Koptalk?).

I've happily referred to Mancs as 'Scum'

You note - perhaps - that I haven't since December the 14th..

We are people. We have different views.

If you Man Utd (Southern mainly, I find) bunch conintue (from a distance) then go for it.

Hard - you aren't.

Man Utd fans - the real ones here and I know a shitload of 'em - are embarrased by anyone southern. I, as a Liverpool fan, aren't embarrased by Southern fans as long as they realise where the club is that they are supporting..

Man Utd fans - if you are that - I have no problems with.

I feel pity for someone posting from Malaga or whereever - but more from someone where MancLand who will 'do me in' - I work In Mancland - I happily wear my 'LFC Stewards Tie' - I've had nutters try and 'do me in' and happily (for me) I am still here..

Those MUFC people who are.. Good stuff lads. Keep it up.

As for the bindippers etc its all banter.

Anyone who meets a scouser and automatically thinks their the scum of the earth is pathetic but, this is a fan site forum and not the "real world" if you hadnt noticed.
 
Are you getting all worked up about the term "bindipper"? As if scousers never say anything derogatory about Mancs. What about everyone in the south refering to northerners as "northern monkeys"? I appreciate it when someone uses friendly banter towards me, because it means that they think that you can take it and are going to use it back. Just grow up a bit mate, and try to be a little less sensitive when your team isn't doing well.

If you don't agree with the above would "binticklers" be a more acceptable phrase to use? :p
