A big part of it when you get pressed can your goalie hit a 40yard pass into a midfielder or attacker. Alisson and Ederson can. De Gea can’t.

You don't have to have a keeper like that to beat the press. Besides, I'm sure DDG used to be quite good with his distribution. Another thing which has gone downhill for him.

For me he's fine for today's task of allowing AWB a rest. I feel he has his uses as a taller stronger version. But also the ball isn't being played soon enough to really give him a yard or two advantage against his "marker", of which there isn't one if we released the ball quicker.

Nah I think the games were just different, Chelsea were better all over the pitch, West Ham are deep and defensive. Give him and us some time to work them out here and I'm sure he'll pop up with something important.

We are not playing badly either. We are the better side in everything but defending and that's because they have 10 men behind the ball.

Even with the fatigue we have enough to win and I'm pretty confident that we will.
