Will Manchester United have some miracles?? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

btw : it's interesting to know how Manchester & the UK will cope with the visit of the israeli team,,,more security measures ...ect

We will welcome them with open arms tariq. Manchester has an established and sizable Jewish community.

7 - 0 to utd! revenge for the last few weeks! bring it on......

This is going to a pressure game. We are playing a team who we should normally knock off without nreaking sweat. But we are not the united we got used to. We are looking more and more like the United during Sir Alex's first 4 years in charge.
My question is who is going to play in Midfield.
When Butt went off we were left without a central midfielder.
I'm assuming Butt may not be fit for Wednesday and i don't want Becks in the centre so who does that leave. If Seba is fit he'll play.
I'd like to see Michael Stewart given a chance. His performances for Scot U21's deserve it

You're right, Stewart's great at getting sent off, he should start.

One sending off doesn't mean he shouldn't be considered.
Keane and Butt have been sent off a few times but no-one questions them

We were exellant today for most of the first half ( at half strength) , the cutting edge will come back.If it were there today we would have won the game by half time.
Somebody will suffer soon MARK MY WORDS
NO MIRACLES REQUIRED

I know it been said before but i really think we are going to hit someone for a lot of goals soon. All the shots that have previously been saved, hit the bar or gone just wide will finally hit the onion bag.
We have the players they just need a lift

Dear Supporter

We were obviously disappointed not to win the game on Saturday. I thought the team that scored first would go on to win, and when they scored it was difficult for us to get back in it.

I think we lacked a little bit of luck at times, we played some fantastic football. We outplayed them for 45 minutes. I knew that they would change, I thought that they would play with three midfield players and try and stop us, which they did really well. They improved in the second half without really threatening us.

Our problems were compounded by Nicky Butt coming off. That was a real blow to us because the midfield then becomes a bit light. It was very difficult for us to get our foot in the game then. Nicky got a knee in the hip but hopefully he'll be alright for Wednesday. If you get these hip knocks they can be sore. Fabien will testify to that - he's had it for weeks now. But we'll wait and see how he is.

Everybody has said we should have had two penalty kicks. We are having some horrendous decisions going against us at the moment but that happens in football. You have periods where you don't get the breaks. But they even themselves out as the season goes on - we hope. Maybe in a few weeks we will starting getting decisions going our way. If they are clear cut penalties then that is the job of the referee. It seems to me that they are afraid to make decisions.

I think we are just lacking that cutting edge at the moment in the finishing. The quality of our play is good, I don't think there is a problem with that. Our teamwork is good, we're defending very well. We just have to dig in at this moment in time. It's not easy but that's when the character of the side comes in. I think we have got the character to do it.

Thanks for your support

Sir Alex Ferguson

Sounds good in theory - but in reality that will leave you with four midfielders who are not great tacklers - ie no battlers.
