Lindelof was injured during training after a tackle by Jones. Everyone was shocked.

They'll pick up at least 2 yellows after fouls on James. Crowd will assist the ref in spotting things.
They got away with murder last game. I bet the refs will totally fail to punish them once again and instead give a yellow to James for simulation. Also predict VAR not to be used to give a straight red.

I'm still angry about their thuggish performance last time around and the inept ref. It will definitely make a difference being at OT. I hope the crowd is well up for this.

After Lampard's incredibles somehow didn't win last night, this is another golden chance for us to put ourselves bang in the race for the top four again.

I'm backing us to get the job done. 2-0.

I'm almost afraid to watch this game.
Yet another chance for us to get closer to top four.... Chelsea will not keep giving us chances to catch them..

The lads need to work their asses off for the 3 points tonight.

I'm genuinely shattered tonight, so I do think there's a serious chance it'll be like the LVG era where my eyelids are feeling very heavy and I drift off.

Me too. I'm thinking i'm getting too focused on refs, F.A and all of their shittyness. It's the oldest football fan cliché to blame the refs and corruption and usually I'm a level headed guy so I know my feelings shouldn't be valid here. It seems a lot is not going our way though, and the refs objectively do suck and FA don't care about consistency or bettering the league but still. It is so tiring that a regular fair performance from a ref is seldom these days.

it's been 3 or 4 straight draws at home against Burnley. I would say we are probably trending up a bit after not getting completely slaughtered by liverpool, so expecting the rollercoaster to dip back down with a draw today.

This thread will explode if we dont win

I really hate to say it but I really just don’t feckin care anymore.

We win and it feels empty because it doesn’t work towards anything so losing just feels kinda “ because it means about as much as winning or drawing.

Feel free to quote this post when Jones gets subbed off with an injury.

Why bench Greenwood? So we are using a more defensive side here?
What on earth has Pereira done to justify starting all the time.
Would rather see Lingard than him.

    I hear ya.

Its like a car crash. Just can't look away.

Jones will score from a corner today - you read it here first :)

Looking forward to the day looking at the United team sheet doesn't hurt my eyes (and soul).

    We'll probably do ok though.

i can't fault Ole for playing Jones over Bailly. He's at least played some football, and against Burnley a just coming back from injury Bailly with no first team football could spell disaster against Burnley on set pieces. Jones brings his own special kind of disaster but maybe it's enough to hold Burnley off.

    You must be joking.
Lingard should be as far away from the pitch as possible
