69 Injuries vs 115 Charges | FA Cup Final Build-up Thread

Worst thing is it won’t be a 4-0. We’ll score a 98th minute winner that gets disallowed for handball despite it being a direct free kick, then they’ll go up the other end and win it with a deflection off Wes Brown in the stands. Trying to think of new ways in which they can cause emotional trauma but it’s very difficult at this stage.

We’ve won it by default cause if they win it gets asterisked

Can we loan Lingard back for this one, Michael Owen too if he hasn't gotten too fat in his retirement.

How do we go about making sure Michael Oliver or Anthony Taylor don't get this game?

Let's teach them a proper lesson in the final. We will show them what we are capable of. We have nothing to worry about with ETH in charge. It will be relentless attacking football style of play promised to the fans.

Might plan a day out that day with the wife and kids up north.

That lot could embarrass us beyond imagination.

I don’t expect us to put up a fight in most games with this team, and I just KNOW, we will collapse no matter what lead we have, they are so weak mentally it’s a disgrace, Coventry deserved something father game. We wil get absolutely battered by115 charges thieves FC.

Said it for awhile, we are winning this final. Fluking a 2-1 victory

It would be a bigger upset if we win than if Coventry had gotten their deserved win today

This will be ugly if we don't have a managerial change before the game. Least deserving cup finalists ever

Park the bus!
Park the bus!
Park the bus!

Seriously, Ten Hag will win this and get a contract extension. It's written in the stars, or Coventry would have gotten their deserved victory today.

Knock the FC off 115 Charges. They're not a football club.

Man United vs 115 Charges. I'll capitalise Charges, I'll give them that much respect.

Certainly need a full team. A couple of city injuries to key players would be good, as would a referee who doesnt ref them like he's their dad. One off games, anything can happen is the cliche - but this united versus this city, I think 9 times out of 10 city win.

We've ridden our luck to get there. Hopefully we have the following fit enough

Onana- Dalot- Maguire-Martinez- Shaw(?)- Mainoo - Casemiro- Bruno - Garnacho- Hojlund- Rashford (though i wouldnt start rashford.)

I understand why its so flat today. But there is the bones of a good team here and winning a cup final v city would be huge for players like dalot, mainoo, garnacho and hojlund. It would be a real statement win in a summer we absolutely need to go well for us.

Some of you are suggesting sacking the manager before a Final? Last time a team did that, it was Spurs. Guess how that turned out?

I actually think we ARE destined to win this.
The nature of our last minute winner v Liverpool after coming from behind, twice. Surviving that almighty scare v Coventry today including a crucial last minute offside.
The fact that this is a straight up rematch from last year's narrow 2-1 defeat.

Early red card for them, Rodri, then take it on home!

Nil nil or City leading by just a goal at 60min, high chance we end up fluking this. Any other scoreline and City takes the cup, just a matter of it being 5-0 or 5-3.

I hope we keep it to 3-0... each half. Although looking at the referee pushing City on, that'll be difficult

How do we go about making sure Michael Oliver or Anthony Taylor don't get this game?
Surely city getting Oliver to help them in the semis AND the final is a bit too much

I’m always in the “anyone but Oliver” camp. Bloke loves them and hates us

Only way we are winning this is that City gets ban with expulsion from all competitions with immediate effect.

Yeah, I've seen that sort of plot armour under SAF. Probably had something to do with the incredible mentality of our players back then.

But this lot giving up a 3 goal lead to eventually sneak through against lower league opposition isn't something I'd consider an indication of destiny.

There's no reason not to rest players for a month now. Give them 45 minute run outs a week or two before the final but this is all that's left for the season, one match. Everything should revolve around getting everything perfect for it.

Park 3 buses and shithousery to Simeone levels. Let’s get it done
