Disappointed Gomes isn't starting.

The usual river place doesn't work for me. Anyone have a better river?

edit: Looks like Gomes must have picked up a knock as he's not on the bench either.

Not seen Gribbin in a while, it'll be good to see how he does. Anyone know anything about the Villarreal team? Any names we should be keeping an eye on?

I remember Gribbin being tipped to be a senior player one day. How has he proressed this season?

Richardson, Kenyon, Warren, Boonen, Buffonge, Whelan, Bohui

Cheers.

I'd prefer Buffonge or Boonen to play instead of Redmond, who I've found rather stodgy. Maybe Warren over Olosunde too - was half hoping O'Connor would make the step up.

Is this on MUTV?

Yep, just about to start...

He has 117 mins on the pitch in the U23 League this season. Scored against Leicester. Started against Celtic in the International Cup and got 10 mins in another of the games. Anyway, he's barely played so hard to tell if he has progressed or not.

Olosunde nearly feeds their striker through but O'Hara stops him, just about

Christ. Injured I'd assume?

Yes. I can't recall what the problems were. He was fit for most of November into early December. Rest of the time he's been out injured. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...chester-united-reserves-fractured-fibula.aspx

In terms of making it here, his technique is probably good enough, athleticism might be a concern, competition from other youngsters in the system will be a hurdle to overcome, opportunities in the first team squad another, but an unexpected departure might create space.

I like his chances of making it as a professional player. I don't like his chances of making 50 PL starts for United.

If McTominay can start first team games then I'm sure Gribbin can if he applies himself. It will also depend on how well stacked we are in the number 10 and forward positions after the summer though. I think people seriously underestimate Gribbins ability on this forum though it is going to be difficult for him with Chong being here and with Gomes and Greenwood also coming through.

Another poor performance....can't see any of this lot making it at United.

We were the better team in the first half. all the good work undone in a matter of minutes in the second half.

Hamilton and Chong are the only players that look like they can make the step up

I don't understand why Buffonge doesn't get more playing time. He did really well for the u18s last season along with Boonen and Gomes.
