Manchester United's various loan deals in 2022/23 are formally expiring this evening (Friday 30 June).
The squad has been bolstered by the return of players who spent time away from the club, on a temporary basis, ahead of the start of pre-season training next week.
Dean Henderson was the first-choice keeper at Nottingham Forest, before picking up an injury that unfortunately cut short his campaign, while Matej Kovar won the Czech top-flight with Sparta Prague.
Defenders Eric Bailly (Marseille), Alvaro Fernandez (Preston North End) and Alex Telles (Sevilla) have all seen their loans end, while Di'Shon Bernard (Portsmouth) and Axel Tuanzebe (Stoke City) have been released in order to join new clubs after their moves elsewhere.
Ethan Lairdhas completed a permanent move to Championship side Birmingham City.
Amad impressed for Sunderland and became a fans' favourite at the Stadium of Light, winning the Black Cats' Young Player of the Year award.
Hannibal returns after also doing well in the Championship, with Birmingham City, while other youngsters such as Will Fish (Hibernian), Charlie McNeill (Newport County), Charlie Savage (Forest Green Rovers) and Shola Shoretire (Bolton Wanderers) will be back at our base following valuable stints away.
Ethan Galbraith spent the season on loan at Salford City but has now joined Leyton Orient on a permanent basis.
In terms of incoming loans at United, Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst are due to return to Bayern Munich and Burnley, respectively.
Both made telling contributions to our Carabao Cup success and clinching a top-three place in the Premier League, with Weghorst supplying the assist for Marcus Rashford's goal in the final win over Newcastle United at Wembley.
Sabitzer scored twice in the home Europa League tie with Sevilla, after opening his account in the Emirates FA Cup comeback against Fulham, but missed the run-in due to a knee problem.
Jack Butland has already been confirmed as a Rangers player, after his temporary switch from Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, David De Gea's contract is due to run out but discussions remain open with the long-serving keeper.
