A day to remember for Foundation guests

Louis van Gaal and his players enjoyed a meeting with a group of fans at the Manchester United Foundation Dream Day on Monday, and one even had some transfer market advice for the manager!

The supporters, who suffer from life-limiting illnesses, visited the Aon Training Complex to watch the squad train, before enjoying a meeting with van Gaal and their United heroes.

Click on the video to see interviews with the players and supporters, and also what van Gaal had to say about the suggested transfer targets.

A very funny and heartwarming video. A United fan even gives LvG a transfer list which he acknowledges.

Lovely video. Very heartwarming indeed. I'm sure loads of clubs do this type of thing, but it's still fantastic to see. Great to see the players not looking as if they're just there because they're asked - they actually look proud and happy to do this type of thing, which isn't something that tends to strike me for the current breed of footballers (if I had to judge books by their covers).

Valencia giving that big smile was great to see too! :D

I really enjoyed that. Good on the club. And Mata - so sweet (hugs)!

You can just tell by Van Gaals face that half of those players on the paper will be at United next season :D, I think Depay, Clyne, Hummels and Pogba.

Also nice to see the players do that, I don't know how you can watch that vid without a smile on your face.

Also when that kid says to De Gea "I got your name on my shirt" His reply was cold "I know":lol:

Strootman was on that list but he didn't read him out. Twice!

Always nice to see the club put things on like this.

I'm a soppy shit when it comes to stuff like this - absolutely heart-warming to watch. Must be fantastic for the players as well, being able to make so many people happy basically just by turning up. LVG and the transfer list is fantastic, and you can see how much it means to the guy giving it to him.

Aye same here, great video.

Loved the Herrera bit and van Gaal with the kids was brilliant!

I saw the article on DM, the expression on the fan's face really made my day as LVG read out his list.

van Gaal talking to that wee boy

At the end of the day you are the greatest

Would have been perfect if that De Gea kid had begged him not to go to Madrid. De Gea could have acknowledged that kid instead of giving him the cold shouler, IMO.

Great watch. Van Gaal is far from the grumpy old man that others made him out to be.

The best part was when he said that he forced the fan to give him the names of players he should sell

Kid: "Guess who's on the back."
de Gea: "Yes?"
Kid: "Your name!"
de Gea: "Yes."
Kid: "Should I get your name on next season's one?"
de Gea: "Yes."
Kid: "That's wonderful news! I'm so happy! Thank you so much!"
de Gea: "Yes."

kid walks off

de Gea: "Carlo Ancelotti looks a lot different when you meet him face to face, doesn't he?"."

Is that Albert Morgan in the background? Is he back with the club?

Apparently this guy told LVG to sell RVP ... Utd forgot to put that in the showreel
