ALEX FERGUSON believes Manchester United are being victimised by the FA.

His captain, Roy Keane, was this week hit by a five-match ban and £150,000 fine after admitting in his autobiography that he had intended to foul Alf-Inge Haaland.

The United boss insists that punishment is out of step with those issued to other clubs. And he cited the cases of Arsenal's Patrick Vieira and Leeds striker Mark Viduka who were let off last season over elbowing incidents.

Fergie said: "I do not think Manchester United get treated fairly because we are the biggest club. Maybe we feel victimised.

"When you consider two of the elbowing incidents that were dismissed last season, you wonder what is more serious - writing a book or almost taking someone's eyeball out."

Yeah! and it's about fecking time that the FA were dumped into court. In my opinion they are permanently operating outside common law. Keane is 'res Judicata' and plainly illegal and the above shows inconsistent decisions. They don't like the fact that their days are numbered and are trying to take on the biggest club to try and prove their position. BUT we are bigger and should show it!

Get real guys. keane's book is an own-goal. Lets get it out of our system, and leave the other guys to do the moaning...the way we used to do.

The title is won out on the field, not on the back pages of the comics.

What does common law have to do with the FA and howm they administer their competition. By taking part in the FA premiership we agree to the decisions of the FA pertaining to that. If you want common law Keano, and many other players, would be in court for assault for their actions on the field.
Lets stop whinging and get on with playing footie.
