Arteta's shot. Legs have completely gone.
He's not a top class player, doubt he'd be snubbing Manchester United. It's whether or not Arsenal are willing to sell.
This is not the way football club's should be run. We had the same with Cabaye. A club doesn't just go out and sign eleven world class player's, a club goes out and looks to improve on the weakest area of the squad. In this case, Arteta would be an improvement, forcing a Cleverley or Anderson out of the club. You don't need to say any more. He's not good enough, we don't need a stopgap player, we need someone good enough to play now.

Moyes isn't in much of a position to make young gamble signings, at least you'd know what you'd get with Arteta, a proven Premier League midfielder who would be an improvement on our current midfield. Also there'd still be room for a top quality midfielder. I'd rather Arteta in our squad than Cleverley or Anderson, I think Moyes might feel the same way.In this case, Arteta wouldn't be an improvement. He's 31 and he isn't even playing much for Arsenal. Football clubs who aim to win major trophies don't hunt for players in the bargain bin with a "that will do" mentality. United needs a top quality midfielder and I'd rather buy an unfinished product than spend cheap on someone who has hit their glass ceiling, at a depleted Arsenal, and not progressed at all.

I like Arteta but he's going to be turned into glue soon.
He's not what United need, even as squad cover.
