Colm(@Duafc) and Jamie(@Vault Dweller) are here for United Hour's first podcast of the season! They dig into United's underwhelming opening game against Wolves, having a look at what went wrong, but also trying to find some positives in the 1-0 win. They also discuss transfers, and what we still need, as well as a quick look at our rivals for Champions League football, and a small update on the Mason Greenwood situation.

What are your thoughts, troops? Has the first game dampened your expectations for the season? Thoughts on the midfield?

Oh gosh! I guess this is what Liverpool fans felt like in the late 90's. I eagerly await for Pep's departure. The argument against us going through a similar drought to Liverpool was that there isn't likely to be another SAF figure, hold the presses.

I suppose you are right! But I think the last 10 years have been down to atrocious management of the club on and off the pitch. Rivals have strengthened to an extent where we can't get near them, and we are still paying for major errors made by previous regimes and managers. I think a couple of ongoing situations at the club also aren't helping, hence my sounding rather deflated on this pod. @Duafc agreed?

In some ways I like a poor start to the season, it's a wake-up call. We were lucky to have a poor start and a good result.
