I agree, a weeks ban is too leniant, I got banned for a week for posting a fake score. (Well, 3 days by mehro then 3 added on by Sultan - Thanks Sults)

But I respect the mods' decisions. Wibble too.

We've just had a major world news story about a lad who's streamed his own suicide on a fecked up forum, we all know about it cos there's been lots of threads on here about that place, and this Malta lad decides I know, I'll copycat him

So what are we all to do? It would seem obvious he's joking, but what if he isn't? Thankfully we're a lot more responsible on here and wouldn't act the way they did, but its still twisted and a week ban is an absolute nonsense
 
I've unbanned him to ensure it's not a serious attempt and have reported it to the ISPs, if someone in the UK would like to dial it in to the police or ambulance service as well then I can provide them the IP address.

If this is a joke then it will be a damned sight more serious than a 1 week ban, Wibbs just used the quick ban button to cut off the attention seeking while we discussed what to do.

I honestly don't take no notice of a lot of shite on here, I usually stick to a few threads per day. Don't take no notice of stuff like that.

He's banned for good and I do hope the IP address wasn't an employer as they may find it even less funny than I did.

To stick up for Elvis, he's acted dumb as well, shouldn't have said what you did there. Like me you've assumed he's taking the piss, but there's a chance he isn't, and then the last thing you want is yourself recorded on a forum goading him into it. But he's a good guy, and wasn't the one carrying out some kind of sick joke, he got caught up in it and made the wrong decisions

If it had gone like the other one, and a stream was up and he was goading him into it, I don't think you can plead innoncence, thats just as sick. I'm dissapointed in Elvis, but I hope he doesn't have to go. Perhaps you should say something Elvis, PM a mod if neccessary

Bet malta didn't envisage his thread ending this way? Especially if he posted from work since Bury reported the thread to his ISPs.

So it was a joke, this person is an absolute prick then i wrote to him thinking it was genuine telling him not to and how my friend had done it recently and how her dad was still so upset about it and all he could do was tell me that he had to kill himself.
 
Suicide is not something to be joking about, it hurts so many people and to say you're going to stream it live in some copycat attempt is just a sick joke that shouldn't be tolerated on this forum. Thanks to the moderators for reporting this just incase he was serious. I hope he understands the implications of what he did, and how affected some of us were, especially those who have known people who took their own lives.
