Ho Hum. Guess he wants a pay rise then...

Can you post "news reports" about all the other players that Planet Gonad are linking us to as well please lazy journo.

According to l'Equipe Ferguson is really interested by him.

We would be in pole position to buy him, but Juventus could make a bigger offer. Paris would like to keep him though.

Another rumour reported by l'Equipe is Fabien Barthez coming back to Monaco :( , with current (and excellent)Monaco Italian keeper, Roma, going to Arsenal. We were interested by Roma too but we would let him go to Arsenal if Wenger gives up on Ronaldinho. It would be a deal between us, Arsenal and Monaco. I'm not sure it's reliable though.

And Juventus is still interested by Vieira, who wants to stay at Arsenal but could leave if the club doesn't buy new players, John Carew, Flavio Roma and Philippe Mexes being the players targeted.

but doesnt Ronaldinho want to join a big club this summer?

heard kenyon has already had talks with PSG after the bordeaux game

and even if PSG wanted to keep him, arent they in the shit in terms of money?

thanks for the info by the way

Fernandez leaves, so Ronaldinho is not against staying in Paris (but what he says is not necessarily what he thinks). He can't say he's leaving when the seaso is not finished yet, the fans wouldn't appreciate.

As for the money, even if he's sold to a big club, PSG won't earn much money. They will be forced to pay money to different parties (Sportfive, Gremio Porto Alegre and the player himself, it was a clause in the contract if I remember well) so they would prefer him to stay, he's the biggest star playing in France.

Elfie... how has Ron preformed for PSG, this season?

Do you think he's the right man for United?

...and...any chance Vieira might come to OT?

He has performed very well in certain games, generally the big ones against Marseille etc... but was less inspired in another occasions.Sometimes pure genius, sometimes almost anonymous. He likes big audiences so he would be happy in England.

Had many rows with his coach Fernandez because of his behaviour...Either he wouldn't dare to do that with Ferguson, either the tabloids will be happy with him...

Apparently Ferguson wants him to play behind Ruud, but who would he replace ?

replace?? well...if he's going to partner ruud, then its whoever's playing the link role behind RVN atm... (its been Giggs over the last few weeks)

...and what about Vieira????

No chance of Vieira at United mate, If Arse consider selling him it will be to Madrid.

Sorry to be a party pooper but we wont be the only ones in for him if he becomes avaliable, they aint likely to sell to their biggest rivals are they.

Real Madrid bound methinks, if he does leave.

The two clubs linked with Vieira are Juventus and Madrid. I don't think he'll stay in England if he leaves. I haven't heard about a link with us.

Sorry to make this sound like 100 questions or somit, but i was wondering, is the french game anything like the english game in terms of qualities needed, i.e strength, pace etc.

If so, do you think this means Ronaldinho could settle well in the Premiership or is it just a big gamble?

There are many French players who do better in England than in France. Even controversial Dugarry is rated in England !

The French game is more tactical, defensive and tight. They don't score as many goals as in England. You don't see many 6-1. Attacking midfielders and strikers are likely to do better in England than in France. So I don't see why Ronaldinho wouldn't play well in England.

And Ronaldihno scored against England during the last WC.

To this day i do not know a quality missing in Ronaldinhos ability...there is nothing he doesnt have IMO.

The only flaw with him is his motivation and attitude, alot of whether he succeeds in England would depend on whether Fergie could iron this out.

Agree Elf?, or would you reccomend someone else for United from france, who would you pick

(102 questions now ;) , maybe we should have an "ask elfie" thread ;) )

I don't know...Is he linked with United anyway ? Frankly I think we have to reinforce our midfield defence, someone likely to replace Roy Keane one day. Personnally I would have chosen Vieira but it's very unlikely.

we could do with vieira, but vanNisty's reckon's its a no go... I think we could do with a link play...also, players to challenge Giggsy and Becks..ie Kewell and Quaresma...and maybe a RB or Mexes..

basically, young players who we can groom to succeed the older players....

Cisse of course (but Liverpool seems to be keen to get him), Mexes (who could be picked by Arsenal), may be Pedretti to back Keano...Mickaël Essien, young prospect who will be great one day.

I don't see a need for both Kewell and Quaresma as Quaresma is equally good on both wings, and we've got some great kids coming through too.

true... but Kewell's almost the finished article...where as Quaresma's one for the future, I doubt the Genuis would play him in all matches..

I rate both players highly.

Cisse to scousers and Mexes to the arse..ouch.
Will Mexes really go on the cheap, we'll be sorry if we allow him to go to Arsenal. Arsenal letting us have Roni is not really in their power because they don't have that kind of money right now, but if Juve were to step aside then that would mean something, Arsenal are shopping in the bargain basement this summer.
