Doesn't matter if they were shit. Thinking more stylistically and imagine they're playing well and fit.

Might be lacking speed in the CAM positions but feel like Mata would fit like a glove there. Herrera could feature too.

If we are talking stylistically am assuming that we are also talking peak not necessarily when they were here? and am also ignoring other issues, just purely on the technical

The worst positions to consider are the defence, honestly the current crop of defenders we have are so much better than at any other time post SAF, especially LCB area, I have put Blind in and I really like the guy but am not sure he had the pace to place that position, Shaw is an obvious fit but really he is not a LCB

Prime Scweinsteiger as a RWB would be killer

I think Mkhitaryan would have been incredible as a 10 in an Amorim team, TBH Lingard would have been amazing

Obviously we did not get prime Scweini, Matic, Di Maria etc...

Love the idea of Herrera and Ugarte just being two little terroristic bastards in there. Maybe Cavani up-top. Can’t not have AM9 or Pogba though.

A few close calls in there. Martinez, Matic and Herrera aren't far off. Valencia would've been a good shout for RWB if Ferguson signings were allowed as well

Can we only consider their united form or can we take their career peaks into account? Good case for a Sanchez/di Maria inclusion as well. Maybe AdM as LWB and move Shaw (or Martinez) to LCB for the added pace and protection.

That is a very lazy front 3 and they wouldn't last very long under Amorim, their lack of pressing would see them out of the door fast.

Probably this... based on their United peak but damn we've barely had any decent players at their peak post Fergie. Cavani is the best striker stylistically. Not too happy with Shaw at wing back but he's too far ahead of his competition. Herrera is the best all-rounder for that role probably & he had good chemistry with Mata, hopefully Mainoo will make that place his own. Amad is quite close to securing that second number 10 spot as his own to be fair.

Ibrahimović/Cavani can easily play up front. Casemiro/Pogba depending on the scenario of the game (defense vs creativity). Same goes for Eriksen/Bruno (more control vs more creativity). Scratch that, forgot about how good peak Mata was at Chelsea, he gets in for sure.

I assume that re-signed Cristiano doesn't count... especially since I wouldn't have his older version in my team anyway. His younger version would obviously get in even though he doesn't really suit the system that well.
