Im a first time player in Franchise mode. Im at the draft pick stage, but i have no idea what im supposed to do. Ive scouted some players over the season but i have no idea what is going on except a clock is ticking down.

You have to select a player each round. Choose whoever your top rated player is first.

There only seems to be a few players available each round, is that correct?

You get a pick each round which you base on scouting reports and which part of the squad you're looking to fill. You can trade draft picks druing the season. I think there's an auto option as well if you don't want to go through all 7 rounds of the draft.

I loved getting the 4th and 5th round guys who are lower rated and turning them into stars. Havent played a NFL game since forever though.
