Has anyone a good package of codecs for Macs? I can't seem to find a good one for my son's new computer.

I'f you're going to play avi files etc i suggest you just download vlc.
VLC pretty much plays everything.
If you want to use Quicktime, download Perian and Flip4Mac.

It is my 9 yo son's computer so I don't want extra software for simplicity so I might try those codecs. Thanks.
VLC is your best bet I reckon plays all types of files
Good to see you've seen the light and switched to Mac's....!!! I got the new iMac at home to stop the blighters downloading anymore viruses now they have their own PC's and can fill them with as much rubbish as they want..!!

Try Total Video Player think they do a Mac version

I still need a PC since much of my works software is PC only but for home use I suspect I'm a Mac convert.
