Lurkers

we have this thread every couple of weeks; the answer definitively is no. Nothing can be done about it, Niall has already said it a few times. A percentage of the lurkers click on the advertising which helps keep this place in business.

I understand this, just a shame when you can't get on due to other people who have no interest in the place except to lurk. Couldn't they be banned, just on matchdays?

People who don't sign up, and more probably dippers and abu's who come here everytime we don't win a football match to watch reactions.

I used to be one of these... honestly match-day and "by-the-minute" were my source of info when I couldn't watch the match, it was quicker than any sort of online gamecast, So I know why one would "lurk"

And quite a few on here do it the other way around and so we can't really complain. The amount of 'look at what they're saying on RAWK' threads we get when they lose with a link to it is us doing exactly the same thing - lurking on there site, looking at their reactions and laughing at them.......

It frustrates me as much as anyone as i think Admin have a duty to be on at such muppetish times. But alas, i cant always get on.

However the boss man has said no

maybe if the people who spam..i mean posted more, would stay away on matchdays, more would get on

hello elvis

Stick some more RAM in the server Geebs...

I'm sure you've an oul utility server where you work that no one would notice a gig or two go missing from

Just bumping this. It never usually annoys me, as i don't post that much, but it really got on my nerves this evening. All i wanted to do was post in the Darren Fletcher thread and it took about an hour. Everything is still a bit slow now tbh.

Nah only for the first 20 or so minutes, it's fine now.

why would the lurkers click on the ads ? unless refreshing the page is what actually makes the money for niall

For the same reason anyone might click on an ad. Can't say I click the ads often unless my mouse slips but occasionally I'll see something that looks interesting and click through. If advertising didn't work then they wouldn't bother so someone must be clicking them even if it's just me and Sharky by accident.

the only one I ever click by accident is the Libertas one, and no others, which is odd

Just close this thread or every matchday you'll get someone saying the same old thing.
