Won with the U-19 side, the U-21 side and now the senior side for Spain. Won every game at the Euros and played good football from the start.

Quite a few players in this senior squad were with him in the U-21 triumph too.

Favourites for the WC with him at the helm?

If they can replicate this EURO form at the WC, they're big favourites.

If Southgate is replaced by a decent manager then football is coming home in the coming World Cup

Won Nations league as well.

I was impressed by their directness. Obviously they have a great midfield, and will still dominate possession against most, but they weren't scared at all to put a ball in behind for Williams or Lamal when the situation called for it, or knock it long to Morata to relieve pressure.

It was so much better to watch, and ten times more effective than them religiously passing it sideways on the halfway line come hell or high water as they've been doing for the last decade, trying to be the 2010 team without the players who made that possible. Was such a breath of fresh air to see them do something else other than Pep cosplay.

Far more entertaining than the spain sides of 2008 to 2012. Those sides would probably beat the current side but they were awful to watch. It felt strange watching a spain team who had the mix of possession ball playing and directness. Worthy winners

Very impressive indeed, a true teacher of the game. Winning trophies with both fledglings and senior pros. He has also stamped his footprint on how Spain plays, phasing from a bland version of tiki taka under Enrique to a more direct and exciting style. Most impressive for me is his tactical flexibility, he isn't as dogmatic as I would have expected from someone of his ilk, he has seamlessly switched the set up for this Spain team between 433 and 4231 with similar success.
Would love to see him at a club which isn't named Real Madrid or Barcelona when he leaves the Spanish NT.

Love that they took in a manager who worked through the system. Wanted Germany to do the same with Stefan Kuntz since he won 2 U-21 Euros along with a runners up.

Some of his sub management almost cost him though. Specifically the Germany game when Germany equalized but both Yamal/Williams were already subbed.

I wouldn't group the 08-team with the two others. They were far more entertaining under Aragones than del Bosque. Not too dissimilar from this year.

True, without dilemma. It was a great, attacking side.

What an achievement. Think most Spanish fans didn't want him to be the manager, hang your heads in shame.

Won the Euros with the under-19, under-21 and now senior team.

First team to win a tournament beating all former European World cup winners enroute to the trophy (Italy, Germany, France and England).
He made only one mistake and that was against Germany when he subbed off Yamal and Williams. Other than that, stellar tournament and Spain are now a major contender in the next WC.

Great name and as everyone already knows being bald automatically makes you understand football tactics 50% better than us hairy losers.

Did an amazing job from the youth to the pros.

Valencia CF needs a manager like him

Favourites alongside Argentina yeah. The team itself still has some areas that another great team might be able to get at. I dont rate the defence if a team can keep them under pressure and not entirely sure Simon is a top keeper. But if they can find a young striker they can depend on to get goals that'll keep them at the top despite defensive flaws just due to how they play going forward and pressing high

Not sure Romero at Sevilla and Hugo Duro at Valencia are going to step up and be that starting striker for them above the level of Morata. But both at 24 they are the best young strikers eligible for Spain. So they probably need one to pop up from one of the academies and do well at first team level in their early 20s to fix that
