Lucio

He's getting on a bit, still pretty good. Juve have some awesome defenders now.

Yeah, it's pretty mad. Didn't Pirlo go from Inter to Milan, which in itself would be unlikely to happen too often in England, but he's since moved on to Juve. Are there any players in England who have rattled around the top three without going abroad and coming back?

34 years old, though depending on his condition he may have several years left of course. Anyone who watched any Inter last season have thoughts on his fitness and form?

not top three necessarily, but Benayoun has played for pool, chelsea and arsenal.

I've always found the lack of loyalty in Italy weird. As Sarni pointed out, there's a right list of players who've played for at least two of Juve, Inter and Milan. Suppose it's a different culture thing.

Inter released him because he was earning big money in last two years but was one of the worst defenders in serie a.

But how many are Italian?

I wonder if any have gone Lazio to Roma. That's the worst sin in Italy.

Inter are slowly getting rid of the highly paid old guard and replacing them with younger players at lower wages in order to get in line with ffp rules. I m surprised that sneijder hasn t been sold yet.

Free. Inter wanted to get him off the payroll, Juve needed an experienced defender for CL.

Good business all around.

cheers. As duffer said, its incredible how players move among the top clubs in Italy.

feck. Didn't even know he left Inter for Juve - a bit of a controversial move?
What's the reason for his downfall? It wasn't long ago when he was considered one of the best in the World.

Had his contract cancelled by Juve. No doubt 'Arry will be making a move.

Aye, he fits the bill just fine for QPR. Past it, not good enough and asking for very high wages. Yay.

Happens quite often with these all-action, combative defenders, because as you say Lucio was as good as anyone in 2009/10. For example, Cannavaro produced a flawless masterclass of performances in the 2006 World Cup, then a couple of months later in Madrid morphed into Jamie Carragher.

Ditto Ayala towards the end of his career as well.
