Anyone else agree that bayern levacusens defender would be a great buy for us in the summer i mean he wouldnt cost as much and hes got european experince against top clubs.

He's a top class defender and can be world-class if he wanted too, but as Kemo said he's currently too attack minded, he's tactically poor and in the PL he'd be a real disaster because of that. Also, he'd cost shit loads of money actually, 25 mil or so.

not so keen on him, he's not a good defender, if we wanted an attacking player, we'd buy a midfielder or attacker...not a defender that looks great when he goes foward ;)

he looks like a nutter and plays like a nutter, can't wait to get the ball sprint up da pitch like its a fecking 5 a side kick about in the park bit of a liability no ? I don't think my heart could take it or me underware !

I like him ........ but not for UNITED, looking forward to seeing him in the WC though!

I'm constantly amused by the classical arguements that defenders who are excellent going forward, automatically aren't good defenders. Lucio seems to be good at both.

Lucio is a superb defender, he reads the game exceptionally well, thing is tactically he's piss poor so he takes too many risks for a CB.

If we could contain him then I'd certainly love to have him because he's as good a defender as say Walter Samuel.

Roy are you defending him because he was your find?lol

maybe its your constant amusement that holds you back as cheif defensive scout at UTD

Lucio is a very solid defender but is by no way in the league of say BLANC or JOHNSEN and i really don't think he would fit in the premiership or with UTD...

you guys are right here ... what we need is some "rock" at the back ..... We are probably already overflow in the attacking options upfront ... have been the top scoring teams in EPL for quite a while now ...
With a steady back-four we will be unstoppable that's abt it ... so we can forget abt any "attacking" minded defender if they can't do a PROPER job at the back ...

Maybe you need to go back to joke school and learn a bit more. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

As for Lucio, he'd be a good fit for us, but not at the price that Bayer are likely to want.
