Lovejoy quits Soccer AM

Not sure if anyone has noticed in the news but:

Tim Lovejoy is quitting his job presenting Sky's Soccer AM after 10 years. Didn't see that coming!

His co-presenter, Helen Chamberlain, is going to remain with the show, which will return for the new 2007/8 season but who will sit beside her? No news as to who is going to replace Lovejoy, but expect an announcement soon.

Sky said Lovejoy, who also presents BBC Two's Sunday show Something for the Weekend, was looking for a "change of life direction," with some reports linking him to a new celebrity entertainment show for Simon Fuller's 19 TV. Sounds a bit crap to me
 
Lovejoy is a fecking nob...he's probably quit to become a full time Arsehole...
 
That guy who does soccer ams all sports show will probably take over, although it won't be the same without lovejoy. This is bad news.

Its not changed in years, the same shit jokes, the same shit "Lets take the piss out of Northerners" sketches, the same shit "Lets get the fat lad up to do the catwalk"...

I'm surprised they're not still doing the Rob Jones joke...

I have to laugh at tubes, but he's the exception...

Chamberlain has a square head and her eyes are too far apart...

Ralph Little is taking his place appparently, the show needs to be freshened up alot, found myself turning it off more than once this season.

He'll he spouting the same shit bout Bolton every week, the fecker must have been on the show bout 50 times, they should have got the bloke who does the all sports show cause hes good and he supports United!!
 
Tube is awesome. So is Andy Goldstein on All Sports.
 
Showboat, Taxi and Third Eye are the best bits of the show, the Soccerette's aren't to bad either, the rest is crap tbh.
 
Lovejoy has recently been on some shite godbothering show, some shite cookery show, and that car show where they admitted he knows feck all about cars. He's gone into that I'm a minor celebrity so I can present anything and pretend I'm interested and think it looks good. Grade A cnut.
 
Im going on there to co-present with Helen(classic blonde/brunette fantasy thing eh lads).Ill be sure to plug the site every week.
There may also be a spot for Baz with his betting advice-oh and Noel Gallagher will never be allowed on it again.
 
Ah Ralph Little will start presenting it? Might start watching the programme then, always thought it was quite rubbish to be honest.

Don't get me wrong the Gallagher's are cock's but he can be funny on that show.
 
Andy Goldstein will take over i imagine. I don't find him funny at all, although Lovejoy was a twat he had his moments.
 
Any show or host surving ten years is pretty damn good these days. Nothing beats Fantasy Football though. That was class.
 
Apart from the fact that its hosted by rent-a-scouse fan Colin Murray, I'd rather listen to Fighting Talk on Radio 5 of a Saturday morning.
 
They keep using the same jokes far past their sell-by dates, and Lovejoy has been getting far too smug for a few years now.

But I still love the show and lets hope it freshens up with someone new in charge (Lovejoy was the main man in the whole thing, was he not?). I hope it isn't Goldstein though, because he really isn't funny at all.

BTW although he can be a dick, Noel Gallagher has been hilarious on the show, especially the whole Jerry Halliwell thing...
 
Soccer AM used to be good about 7 years ago, Lovejoy is a twat, Goldstein is a twat, there's not much left for the show.
