Lovefilm PS3 thing.

You can stream films to the PS3 etc through it with the membership as well as have it sent to you on disc, does it work the same with games where you can stream it? I.e I want to play LA Noire, can you stream the game/download it temporarily like the betas work or do you have to actually have the disk sent out to you in the rental?

That's what I thought, but then again that's how the betas work. You download it and it's huge, then after a certain time it stops working.

Ah well, worth a try.

LA Noire takes 3 discs on the Xbox, so the game must be truly gargantuan in terms of file size, it'd probably take weeks to download!

Any, like the DC Universe beta, it took about 15 hours to update onto the ps3 before it was playable and then stopped working at the end of the period.

LA Noire isn't even available on the PS Store as a download, it's retail only, so, no!

It's available to rent through Love Film, so it's a normal enough question considering they offer their rental services to stream on the PS3! There are a lot of games not available on the PS Store as a download.

Its available to rent on a disc.

You can't actually install software on your PS3 unless it comes off a disc (even then you need the disc in the drive) or through the PS Store if you are using official firmware.
