Very often the Cafe refuses to load for me

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at xxxxxxxxxxxx

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Same story on the Flock browser, yet every other site I try loads fine, at the same time as I can't connect to the caf. Doesn't seem to be peak times either, and can last for a good few minutes. Any idea what's wrong?

I have it quite often. it's always random. i had it 20 mins ago, and around 2 this morning aswell. Hardly peak times, and it was only the caf giving me bother.

Wireless router? is it only affecting the caf?

Yeah, only the caf. Tevez#32 from the newbs is telling me to restart router. Will let you know how it goes when it happens again.

Something you're not telling me...?

feck off.

(Sorry mate, couldn't resist. Don't know what the issue would be...maybe your router. Prayers might help *wink*)

It's a DNS problem and the fault of your ISP.

Nope

It's happened to loads of people now, on a number of different ISPs. Happened to me, and I tried fiddling with the DNS settings. Worked fine for other sites, but made no difference to the problem accessing the caf.

Must be in double figures in terms of the number of people reporting the same problem now. Either the page doesn't load, or an IP ban message comes up.

Weirdness

I don't mean that it's your DNS settings Noodle, just that somewhere along the line there is a problem with a DNS server. What is happening is that the request for the CAF cannot find a route to it.

More than likely of course.

I thought this problem had disappeared?

Not really.

It only cleared up for me when I had Sky installed.

And in anycase, apparently it's come back.

It just happened right now!

I've always blamed my little blue linksys wireless thing.

Ah, this is the problem. Sometimes I lose the connection to certain sites, or at least it says "the page is not loading", but I've never pinned it down to the Caf, since I usually have lots of tabs open. But thinking about it, it IS the Caf that I have problems connecting to, so add my name to the list of those affected by this!

This time it's only the general that won't load for me?
