Judgement day or just another day?
The question as to whether something big will happen on 5 July is soon to be answered, after weeks of transfer speculation surrounding that date and the destiny of Manchester United.
New players arriving, current players leaving, senior figures retiring... all, some or none of the above will happen this Friday, 5 July, depending on who you listen to. The intrigue originated and has largely existed outside of Old Trafford (see My Mate Says), but now, as the day draws ever closer, questions are even being asked about Friday 5 July in the corridors of United's own stadium.
Like the supporters, club staff are beginning to wonder if some of the rumours they've read on the Internet could possibly ring true. After all, the movers and shakers at Old Trafford keep things very close to their chest and rightly so, when any number of opponents are poised to pounce on and profit from the slightest leak of sensitive information.
Even the most loyal and longest-serving employees are not privy to the private discussions of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Gill and Peter Kenyon... like the rest of the general public, all they can do is wait and watch their screens.

I have it on a very good authority that July 5th might actualy come after July 4th, remember where you heard if first !
