.....the top 4 have some pretty interesting games.I see you Mancs have the easiest 5 games,on paper, anyway, with the Scousers having the toughest time (it could kill their title chances !).My predictions, out of a maximum 15 points, are :

Gunners 3 wins 2 draws = 11 points
Chelscum 3 wins 1 draw 1 loss = 10 points
Mancs 3 wins 2 draws = 11 points
Scousers 2 wins 3 draws = 9 points

Which would mean we would still be 3 points clear !!I'll drink to that !! :)

i predict you lose to spurs this sat.

:D

The lads have showed that they can beat the top opposition but now they really need to show the same dedication and fight as hard against the likes of West ham, Birmingham and sunderland. Can be more difficult to find the motivation in these games after the extremely big games we've had lately.

My prediction are :

Gunners
Sun Dec 15 2002 Tottenham Hotspur (A) L
Sat Dec 21 2002 Middlesbrough (H) D
Thu Dec 26 2002 West Bromwich Albion (A) W
Sun Dec 29 2002 Liverpool (H) W
Wed Jan 01 2003 Chelsea (H) L

7pts

Chelscum

Thu Dec 26 2002 Southampton (H) D
Sat Dec 28 2002 Leeds United (A) W
Wed Jan 01 2003 Arsenal (A) W

11pts

Man Utd
Sat Dec 14 2002 West Ham United (H) W
Sun Dec 22 2002 Blackburn Rovers (A) W
Thu Dec 26 2002 Middlesbrough (A) W
Sat Dec 28 2002 Birmingham City (H) W
Wed Jan 01 2003 Sunderland (H) W

15pts

Dippers
Sun Dec 15 2002 Sunderland (A) D
Sun Dec 22 2002 Everton (H) L
Thu Dec 26 2002 Blackburn Rovers (H) W
Sun Dec 29 2002 Arsenal (A) L
Wed Jan 01 2003 Newcastle United (A) D

5pts

That takes us 3pts above our main rival - Chelsea

Gillespie before Newcastle

"I predict you will lose all 3"

Gillespie before Liverpool

"I think you'll get a draw against Liverpool at best and lose to us at OT"

Gillespie before Arsenal

"I think we'll get at least a draw and will probably win"

See a pattern here? He keeps getting things wrong. All the time.

And although he keep trying to raise his prediction to our result, he still can't catch up with the real result :D

Keith Gillespie,I think you're referring to ? Now at Blackburn?

Of course, being a lady (?) you are always bound to be in the right, unlike us poor men ;)

Actually,I chose Gillespie as a name here after that well known spot in London (Gillespie Road, which is where Arsenal Stadium is)

You could call yourself Woolich Sarf London.

Would be more apt.

I personally like to read your threads on this forum. It is refreshing to get the opinion of another team's supporter. However enough of the plaudits, reading this thread makes me think that you are starting to grasp at straws and becoming seriously concerned about the big red jagernaut.

I hope you have a miserable Christmas (football wise of course!!)

Bill, thanks, nice to see that there is someone willing to debate without gratuitous abuse.

As it happens,I've got to say, there has been a turnaround with you guys recently and for what it's worth,I do appreciate how well O'Shea (in particular) has played .Actually,I think alongside him,Brown and Silvestre have been as good as anyone.Frankly,I'm still not convinced by the Neville brothers despite some recent good performances, and yes,I do think now ,that if it's not us for the title, I can't really rate anyone else(with the possible exception of Chelsea, who always tend to 'blow it').
Also, particularly impressed with OGS on the right side of midfield...reminds me of how Wenger converted Wiltord to that position.

I hope you have a good Christmas (though not necessarily your team ;) )

Though,I'm a little peeved as the wife has put her foot down and I will be celebrating Christmas in a quaint little cottage in Cornwall missing the home games against Middlesborough and Liverpool (I kid you not...but she who must be obeyed and all that,at least it will be nice with the kids (and dog) to be away for Christmas ....Cornwall is nice, even at this time of the year !)

However,I'll be back for the home game against Chelsea on New Year's day.

A Happy Christmas to you and yours !

I expect you and Chelsea to do the right thing and share two points. Oggy oggy oggy. Merry Christmas.

To be fair....in addition to my season ticket at Highbury which means I see pretty much all home games (apart from these 2 obviously) she does put up with my away trips to Manchester/Liverpool/Charlton/Newcastle/Southampton and probably Ajax too ! So I can't complain !

Looking at your past record, that would mean a win for us then :D

Seriously though, I think that's a reasonable assumption. Boro are not strong away and we all know what Cole and Yorke are capable of. I still think we'd win though.
