Despite all the doom and gloom and loose talk of a dynastic collapse there is something we should all keep in mind:

With the possible exception of Bolton (by far our worst league performance of the season) we have DOMINATED every team we have played. We actually battered Leeds for 45 minutes on Saturday and with better finishing could have had the game won by half time. We faded a bit in the second half but in the end, we were undone by our lack of invention in the last third of the field. That has been the story of our season thus far. It won't last forever. Once we start finding the net again, as we surely will, we'll be snapping at Arsenal's heels.

i'm a pessimist at heart, but i know a little optimism is due now and then...however if the whole "our season starts here" comes up again i might have to kill myself...

Wythykid, there is a substantial difference between dominating possesion and dominating a game. We are playing like Evans era Pool, heaps of ball but can't do a thing with it. Opponents are content to let you hold the ball if you are not going to do anything with it.

Well, I think that just proves my point. We're not translating the domination into goals.
