I've got tickets for the women's semi finals, it would be great if GB could be there.

The atmosphere sounds pretty decent, a bit like a football one actually.

Were beating Japan 1-0. :)

I thought the atmosphere was pretty bad, I usually love Hockey.

Great goal. Thats better with the atmosphere.

Hockey vs Swimming anyway, i just can't buy into the football side of things.

4-0 is certainly a nice place to be, GB were so clinical in that first half.

GB Women vs South Korea ha just started.

0-0 as of five minutes in.

ETA: Goalkeeping howler.

GB 1-0 SK

A HUGE match for GB tonight, the women's team must get a positive result against the Netherlands [world number 1] to proceed to the semi-finals.

19:00 start.

Really? When did that happen? I'm glad obviously, with the loss to China the other day.

It was a great comeback by the men against the Aussies last night, 3-0 down.

Would be great to see both teams get medals and increase its popularity. Hockey is a really accessible sport, not requiring expensive kit.

Finally the day has arrived :), we'll be leaving in a few hours for the hockey semi-final. When you buy them you of course have no idea whether it'll be GB playing in front of you, fortunately that is indeed to be the case.

Nah we'll win because we have that extra person behind us..the ref.

did anyone see the NZ girl get her head smashed?

it was a pure freak accident but hell that looked like it hurt!!

Our girls gave everything but just lacked a cutting edge or the right pass one too many times in the end. Argentina were a fine defensive outfit which also ahs ot be acknowledged.

From my inexperienced PoV the referral system seems to have its flaws or limitations, as was seen in the second Argentine goal [there being cause for it not to have stood only the illegality occurred in a parto the pitch you can't appeal about].

The atmosphere was really good, although the band should have by now expanded the reperoire a bit. :)

the aleged illegality was never shown by the TV

i think the british girls claimed that the ball went out of bounds but the tv didn't replay that moment

it was a beautifull goal, though :p

The Dutch could well pick up a pair of gold medals, i heard tonight's match described as "total hockey".
