Any LOI fans here?

Derry City have gone all out this summer to load the squad with experience - adding the likes of Robbie Benson, Gavin Whyte, Liam Boyce, Shane Ferguson, Carl Winchester and others. Going to be an interesting season for Derry fans with the new manager hitting the ground running after the old one concentrated on local players. Can’t wait

Last season was brilliant, attendances rising too. All set up for a great year, the break is so long.

Is it next season the league is moving to 4 divisions? I believe the current 2 and like a conference situation with north and south? Right now its hard to see an Irish league structure with 40 clubs with all being financially viable. Interesting times.
Would be interesting to see some of counties with good amateur level clubs can a team forward. If Kerry can get their act together etc... Infrastructure in Mayo for example seems really good.

With the Europa Conference League offering Irish teams a genuine chance to be competitive against similar level teams around Europe and the possibility of picking up some decent cash, it could be really good for the games all round growth. As long as one club don't end up with a huge monopoly. I believe they picked up €5.6 million or something so far which must be huge money in Irish League terms.

It’s St Pats year. Picked up more points than anyone after Kenny came in. Winning our last 9 on the bounce, Mostly kept the squad together with a few coming in,

Nailed on tbh

All I'll say about Kenny and St Pats is that he has always done his best work under lower pressure and scrutiny. They had a brilliant run last year as soon as the season became a free hit for them, and their confidence was boosted by a nice European run, also a free hit.

They have a very strong squad for LOI and a manager with a good track record, but this hype that they're gonna walk the league this season has been building up since late September last year, so they have that expectation to deal with, plus Rovers, Shels and Derry. They've as good a chance as any of those 3 but every football fan in the country has seen how Kenny deals when there's any extra scrutiny on him at all, not great.
