Logitech G25

Nah, that's too much. You could get a real car for that. Plus I think having that would mean you are taking the games farrrr too seriously.:)

Well in fairness i'm a bit of GT nut....allways looking to improve my laptime and there are just some things the ps3 controller can't do.

Put it this way if its as good as the reviews say it is and i do happen to comes across one that i can get cheaper i'd get a hell of a lot of use out of it.

just wondering if anyone had it what was they're feedback on it....its all well and good reading reviews but even better if i could ask a few questions about it from someone who has one

Always curious about these things.. Is the clutch usually re-created accurately?

On the high end ones, then yes. I've never owned one myself, but have had a go with them. Some people go to massive expense building proper aluminium frames with real racing car seats in them with the monitor/tv mounted at the front. Others go for a cheaper alternaive and build them out of plastic water pipes. Wooden frames are also possible. I wouldn't really bother if you are just going to clamp it to your desk.

Depends on how much you want to spend at the end of the day. ;)

True Weaste....and at the end of the day i'd rather not spend as much as the G25 is going for really.I do think its quite expensive

but if you love flying games you want a joystick....IMO real driving games should be done with pedals, gearstick and wheel providing they are good enough.

And the cheap alternatives are rubbish

I wouldn't be building a frame, i happen to have a perfect place to put the wheel and pedals

This is a cheaper alternative that I myself have been considering, done a fair bit of forum research on it too, seems very good.

The difference is no clutch peddle and a sequential gearbox rather than a shift stick.

I am tempted as I love my racing games, plus it also works with a PC with GTR2 for example (driver required).

Interesting.

Thanks for the info....i'll look into it more

my main problem before with wheels was the fact that the steering was all over the place.....such delayed reactions and just no feel whatsoever.Probably why i'm looking at the g25.

The GT series has been my favourite for years....time to move on from a controller and see how it is with a better setup

I used to play that track to death. Can't wait to see it in High Definition.

Still have to wait about 9 months though:(

Grand Valley Speedway was my track of choice.

There were times i reckoned i was invincible on that one, nobody could beat me.

with a Castral Tom's Supra anyways....allthough i'd wager i was seriously naive about that hehe

I have the urge to dust off the old PS2 for a bit of GT 4 now.

Hehe wouldnt mind a game myself.

Unfortunately mines been knackered for months now.

Fecking shite those smallers ones

Fine cheers mate, missing sunny manchester! How about yourself?

Same old same old fella, counting down the days till season start.

When are you back over to Manc then?

Its been a long summer..

And around about Mid September I reckon.

It sure has.

Look forward to seeing you for some games again, planning on going more often this year, as much as the old purse strings will allow anyway.

Good man, I too look forward to sharing a beer or 10 over the season...

I will be there a bit more as well this year, happy days :)

I have a G25, its fecking sweet.

Is it realistic?

and further more.....is it worth that astronomical price for what is essentially a gaming peripheral?

thanks in advance

Any pros and cons you can give me on it man would help a lot:)
