Is it worth getting it ? Or is 40gb a very minimal amount of storage for playing PS3 ?
 
How many games are you likely to be having save files from at any given time? Unless you are planning on storing an awful lot of stuff on there I suspect 40gb should be sufficient.

The clerk did say most of the storage is consumed from installation files from selective games. Save files themselves apparently don't take up that much space.

I normally don't keep save files for that long anyway. Seems a good deal to me.

Don't think I want to hand in my PS2 though. They were offering to take it off my hands for £10. Having a laugh.

Doesn't sound like a very good deal too me. Sainsburys are doing the 160gb slim for £199.
You could probably then pick up BOPS for £30.

Just checked on Sainsbury's website and couldn't find it. Is it in-store only ?

Does it comes with a controller and all the cables ?

PcWorld are selling the 160gb slim for £250

If Sainesburys are selling it for £200 then you can get an extra 5 quid off at Pc World bringing it down to £195. Must admit though, I thought the Sainesburys deal had expired?

You could then buy pre owned copies of Modern Warfare and Fallout 3 for £7.50 each at Game.

Bargain!

Its instore only. yes cables&controller inc, their brand new. I am guessing the 40gb is preowned?

Ring their customer service line and ask them to check stock for your local.

Was thinking the same thing. Might pop over to Sainsbury's tomorrow and hope the deal is still on.

Cheers. Nah, the 40gb is new along with everything else. Wouldn't be fussed to spend a little bit more if it means a good 120gb extra of storage.
 
40GB is more than enough, i've had the 20GB HDD for my 360 for like 3 years and have never gone over it...though a few extra GB's wopuld be appreciated

Having said that though I dont really download anything to my 360 bar DLC and demo's

Just googled it and it seems to end today (17th November), i'd ring up your local store and see if they still have any in stock and when it ends. 50 quid off is a pretty decent deal if you have a store nearby.

Might buy one myself tonight if I can.
 
The 160gb is the latest version(s) and is likey to be cooler, quieter and is more energy efficient, i would defiantly get it instead unless you prefer the looks of the old style ps3.

Just rang up my local Sainsbury's. Terrible customer service. 1st call they went to check stock for 5 minutes and then hung up. 2nd call they confirmed that offer is still on until the end of this week.

Will moozy on my way down there tomorrow.
