Liverpool Football Club (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd. after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road.

Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle. Liverpool reached its first FA Cup Final in 1914, losing 1–0 to Burnley. It won consecutive League championships in 1922 and 1923, but did not win another trophy until the 1946–47 season, when the club won the First Division for a fifth time under the control of ex-West Ham Utd centre half George Kay.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 19 English league titles, 6 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his Boot Room successors Bob Pailsey, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals: crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (stemming from the success of both teams as well as the cities' competition in the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century).

We may not lose 7-0 here but I would be shocked if our general performance is even as good as that one last year (which was shit, but we're a much worse side now).

Keep guys like Hojlund, Garnacho, Mainoo out of this. They don't deserve to have what is gonna be a battering on their young CV's.

Today was actually practice for Sunday, how to lose without conceding too many so we're well prepared for this.

    Antony----------------Mejbri-------------Garnacho

Left back is problematic. I thought Dalot was awful against Bayern, his passing was sloppy as f. Reguilon is decent going forward but defensively very suspect. If Hojlund needs subbing I'd throw McTominay on for him and continue leaving the wasters out.

Extent of the result depends on what Liverpool turn up. If it's the high intensity then it could be cricket score but I'd anticipate the manager to be very pragmatic with no intention to win.

Oh dear! This could be a bowling score!

Turns out Harry and Luke aren’t injured after all. They’ve just followed Bruno’s lead and found a way out of the weekend. Even Marcus and Antony have legged it. ETH may have to phone Jadon at this rate, but I hear he’s changed his number.
