Simply put, Without Owen, Liverpool are a mid table side. Their entire future rests on Owen's hamstring....

Raoul is right Liverpool are worryingly poor without Owen or Hammann for that matter.

Chelsea certainly unravelled L/pool. In the 1st. half they played through their midfield isolating the back four who showed, in that position, they are as vulnerable as a couple of seasons ago.

They can only play with an 8/9 man defence in 2 tiers, relying on breakaways or the ability for the midfield to rush up supporting Owen/Heskey making a 6/7 man attack. When a team plays through the midfield, breaking the link, they look very panicky.

That's right, let all the months of frustration out boys.

How about a decades worth of frustration Paul. It's a long time to hold in your Chi. How did you manage. ;)

----------------------------------------------
All 2 of 'em? Generosity knows no bounds! Don't think 2 months frustration is worth it amid 10 years of success that scousers can only dream of. For the mentally challenged Scousers (same thing) that means 7 prem titles in 9 and the CL.

Notice no mention of the league cup, cup winners cup, FA cup or World club cup as they are not on the same level! And we've never entered the West Lancs Darts cup so we can't claim it.

Let's leave the history out of this boys, I don't want to embarrass you.

Deep breathes now, bottling thing's up is bad for you.

and the messiah aka Baros is signing last October,
youse were sitting pretty at the top of the League, games in hand and the other contenders failing to string a run of results together.
If pool dont win the league they can only blamb thereselves, youse had it in your hand and now its slipped away

How the mighty have fallen..

We'll just have to content ourselves with polishing our silverware and sitting pretty at the top of the table.

You are so superb- after beating the pride of Europe that is Derby and 'Boro..

You'll beat Southampton too - but let's see how you get on against a team that actually counts eh? (Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool, Arsenal.. didn't pick up too many points there did you boys?)

;)

Don't belive me if you don't want to i don't give a feck, as for Baros he should be here by the new year, but he's not the messiah thats Owen. I would'nt say we had the title in our hand, Arsenal have also performed well, IMHO i think they'll win the league and we'll come up second

You are a prick are'nt you, go find the prediction thread in the football forum and you'll find that i predicted Arsenal would win the league and we would come second over a week ago. we can win it, it all depends on us but i believe Arsenal are the favourites

Don't count on it - Svenson is looking deadly at the moment and they have played pretty well recently.

so you were top of the league by 6 points a week ago and you still thought Pool wouldnt win the league,

you must be certain of it now,
i said it a long time ago, pool will struggle to score goals especially when Owen is out. Their tactics are designed for low scoring games.

Liverpool CAN win the league, I just got a feeling that Arsenal will win it. Everyone is saying we lost because Owen did'nt play what a bunch of bollox, we lost because the whole team played sh@te today and Chelsea took advantage of that

pools whole day was ruined by Le Saux's early goal,

they were forced to open up and move forward and 4 nil is the result of that im afraid

Leeds score eearly aginst us we came back  , i was at the game the problem was we played shit, the defence was poor, as well as the midfield nad attack, i can't think of one player who was anywher near thier usual form.

i think Emile Heskey performed to his usual level today, you can say what you want about him but hes consistent ;) ;P

Why isn't Heskey made into a defender. He would probably still get you the two goals off corners and you could buy a real striker like Trezeguet or somethin...

Barring a draw on Tuesday, either Arsenal or Newcastle should go top of the table and permanently knock Liverpool out of 1st. ;)

Hey Gazza, what exactly is it that worries you about Liverpool's form without Owen. Are you a scouser or what??
