Bought him from Southend for £250.000 - strange that we let him go - that lad had real potential
Ngoo and Ngog - dream partnership
But considering we have Cofie, King, that new guy from Italy Pucciarelli or whatever his name is, Macheda, Welbeck, W.Keane and Petrucci....
I don't think we are lacking talent up front
Can't say I was ever totally convinced by him - for every moment that made you think 'great touch for a big lad', there were five that made you think 'the new Kevin Francis'. Would have taken a punt at 250k to see how he developed and offer something different, but if I had to guess, I'd say we'll not end up regretting this too much.
I was pretty impressed with him in the Milk Cup. Although I agree in King, Cofie and Keane we already are pretty stacked in the youth team. Also have Macheda and Welbeck, so we have a talented bunch already and as said all seem to fit the "United" way.
Ngoo has a lot of raw potential, and if nutured in the right way could be a good player.
This is revenge for Owen.

Man we have a good team - all our rejects end up with our rivals. Wouldn't be surprised to see Phil Marsh and Aaron Burns with City and Arsenal
Not surprised we chose to let him go.

Liverpool have pipped Manchester United to sign 16-year-old striker Michael Ngoo from Southend for a fee that could reach £250,000.
Ngoo has been compared to giant England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch.
Southend’s head of youth, Ricky Duncan, said: ‘When this chance came along for him we couldn’t stand in his way.
'Michael had accepted a scholarship with us at the end of last season but he didn't sign.
'He felt that he could get a Premier League side which was his choice and fortunately it has worked out for him.'
There has been a debate about the way big clubs pursue young players, but Duncan praised Liverpool's approach.
'Liverpool got in touch with us and offered him a trial,' he said.
'Then they made us an offer which we thought was a fair price.
'It's very early in his career but we believe he has the potential to go on and carve out a good career for himself at Liverpool.'
