Congrats to the local team for winning the damn thing. My job is at Robins AFB here in Warner Robins, GA. The town is very happy for these kids. Great game Sunday afternoon. I was watching it at ESPN Zone on Times Square.

I could not imagine hitting a walk-off homerun to win a championship. Just imagine how that kid feels. Of course by the time he's 25 and continually brings up that moment all the people around him will be sick of the story.

I was supposed to be stationed a WR a few years back. Good to see the US winning it the last 3 years though. There was a period where it was Taiiwan destroying everyone. 4 wins in the last 6 years.

Good to see the Americans wining this again, too bad you had to change the rules to make sure an American team made the final every year.

Little league world series, World series of poker, World series of handball, World series of checkers. ( I might be wrong about the last two)

And people still say there is no room for the MLS in the American sporting psyche.

DE, MLS has already passed the NHL on the sports radar. Not sure if that's a great thing or not, considering the NHL had long since vanished from the mind of the majority of the US sporting public.

Well I never really followed hockey anyways but I'm suprised by that. I know the strikes by the players union had a huge effect on sponsorship,media/public interest etc. I still think with the key games of the MLS coninciding with the NFL it will stunt the potential of football in America.
