i heard that it got terrible reviews in the US - havent seen any of it myself but will be interesting to see how it is received by the public

do they just redo all the classic UK characters or is it a totally new set of sketches?
 
Found it ok. Being a fan of the show I'll cut it some slack and give it some time to find its feet with all the gags but I dont think Americans will take to it really.

I kind of agree with you. I am not sure it will sit well with the Americans. The Little Britain guys tend to push the characters too far sometimes so it just stops being funny, e.g. the 'bitty' sketches, the first time it shocks people but after that you just think this is fecking stupid. I think that they will continue the theme of the "I love you more than" with the little girl and her mother throughout the series and that they will probably over do it.

The Rosie O'Donnell bit was very funny as was the part at the end with the body builders.
