LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Get ready America. Hit BBC television show "Little Britain" is bringing its outrageous satirical humor to HBO in September, drawing on stars such as David Schwimmer and Rosie O'Donnell to lure U.S. audiences.
The show, a cultural phenomenon in Britain, is the latest comedy import to the U.S. after programs like "The Office," which airs on the NBC network, have made their mark on this side of the Atlantic.

I loved Little Britain and I can't wait for this!!!

This sounds like the fecking worst idea ever... as if the Yanks popularity couldn't get any worse in the world....

The Office was a one-off crossover hit... anyone remember when they did a Yank version of Coupling...? terrible

I agree about The Office and Coupling. The Office is a great show (both versions) and they got it spot on with the actors they picked for the US version. The US version of Coupling was horrible.

The difference between them and Little Britain is huge. For the most part, the actors and the writers for the show will be the same as before. It will be on HBO so they'll be able to do what they want with the show and won't be restricted as far as language and content, whereas The Office and Coupling are on regular cable channels and are restricted.

There's not many bad shows on HBO. I think they are pretty picky with what they'll show.

Of course I could be, and probably am, wrong about all of it but I am glad I'll get to see new versions of Little Britain.

Shit pimpmofo havent seen you on here in a while, your username is a class

Just won't work. And the english version wasn't all that either.

English version was funny the first time around but unlike really good comedy it doesnt stand up to watching time and time again, its too repetitive and a bit lazy really.. some classics in there though..

Was slightly funny when it first came out (I was 14 admittedly) but since then it has been pretty shit. Much like the Catherine Tate show (God I hate that shower of shite ), it is just too repetitive and boring.

Is it an American version or will it have Matt lucas and David Walliams in?
