Can't believe there hasn't been a thread on the lions yet. Who do you think will be the best players from each participating country. Its taken for granted that O'Driscoll will be the complete player he normally is. Should Dallagio ( or however its spelt) have been picked or is he past his best?

 true. But what I meant was should he have been picked in the first place?

After the season he's had for Wasps he should have been picked. He's been immense for Wasps this year, easily the best No.8 in the league over the whole season and completely dominated Corry in the Premiership Final at Twickenham.

Have to agree with that. He would have been vital on this tour because of his excellent defensive ability and "ref management" aswell...

When your play the All Blacks you need people with experience of big games and all due respect to the likes of Michael Owen, Simon Taylor etc They don't have that sort of experience. It's a shame the Lions will miss Lawerence

Agree... Excellent defensivly, a good ref talker, experienced and also quite a good pack leader. That's four ways in which he'll be missed on this tour.

The likes of Back and Hill will bring experience to this tour however I still feel that Lawrence will be a big loss to the tour.

I have to say congrats to todays Sunday Times. Up to date as always, they've got a guide to the lions tours, which says he a definite starter at No.8
You think they might have updated it
