Linking to other sites

I was wondering if you could help me with something. When I try and post a link to another site I can only paste the whole website address and not have it display whatever I want

I get a window for Hyperlink asking for TYPE and URL, but not what I want it to display

I've noticed other people can still do this.

so how did you do it?

also is there anyway to just type it out instead of pressing the button

I just clcik the button it brings up one box which you put the URl in, then a 2nd box appears and you put what you want it to say innit.

on mine(windows me) it says "enter the text to be displayed for the link"
and on the second box it says "please enter the URL of your link"

BTW id like to know how to put in pics without going to manage attachments

I used to get that until the site got a revamp, now I can't do it anymore

As for using images:
if you are posting an image from a website then just click the square yellow icon or type

around the address

if its just a picture from your computer then I think you have to use the Manage Attachments option

Maybe you can try changing back to the "Basic Editor" format instead of the standard editor or the wysiwyg format....goto control panel, then edit option and choose at the miscellaneous option...I dunno man but it might help....

only problem with this setting is in a reply I can't preview pictures, so I might switch it back
