This is a clip of replays of Giggs' goal shown on Canal+ along with French pundits analyzing it (in French, of course).

Unlike most clips I've seen, this one shows what happens a good 15 seconds or so before the kick is taken and shows Rooney and Scholes pointing in the direction of the wall, the ref shaking his head, and then asking Giggs something. Giggs says something back to the ref, who begins to walk away and then Giggs tells Rooney to put the ball down...and you know the rest.

If Lmarco or anyone could let us know what the French commentator is saying, that would be great since I can only understand it in bits and pieces. To me it seems like the guy is saying something about the technical error being the fact that the ref gives no signal to the Lille defenders. Would defeat the whole purpose of a quick freekick wouldn't it? :wenger:

I don't really see the technical error Lille are harping on about.
