Marca say there are now 88 Liga players up for grabs
http://www.marca.com/2014/12/31/fut...c1d0fbddfc588b838df0f455c772ff1c&t=1420031332

Most of them aren't well known. Many will retire or drop down a division others will move from one bottom third club to another one with another 12/24 month contract.

However here are some of the bigger names:
Khedira - Real Madrid
Alves - Barcelona - though the transfer ban may make Barca extra keen to renew
Mbia - Sevila
Aduriz - Athletic

Any guesses where those 4 will end up?

I'd take Khedira. Not sure about Alves as he's on the decline. Mbia is shite, Aduriz isn't a top striker.
Done.

Agreed. I'd take Alves as a backup for Rafael earlier, but now I feel confident in Valencia there.

Khedira's off to Bayern or Arsenal IMO. I just don't see him ending up here.

Khedira is off to Dortmund as a replacement for Bender who will be off to the Arse.

Khedira might return to Germany and join Bayern as a slightly less defensively astute alternative to Javi Martinez. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves to London either. Mourinho likes him from the Madrid days and AFAIK Sami was one of the few players who publicly backed Jose during his last few months as Real's manager. Chelsea don't have a lot of quality options beyond Cesc and Matic. Ramires is ok but Khedira is better, Obi Mikel is substandard, they let Lampard walk, Van Ginkel hasn't progressed as well as they envisaged and Jose likes more experienced players anyway. Chelsea are very mindful of keeping in line with FFP and Khedira with his Bosman transfer will be an attractive proposition. Wages won't be much of a problem now that Torres is likely off the books. And given their medical record, Khedira might return to prime form. Arsenal might be a wild-card in all that. But they might do better to prioritize the allocation of funds towards a world class central defender. Also, will Ozil and Sanchez lure him in or dissuade him from joining the club in hindsight in a purely footballing perspective ?

Alves seems nailed on for PSG. If they don't exercise the option to buy Serge Aurier, there's no-one beyond Van der Wiel. Then there's the Brazilian contingent with Thiago, Marquinhos, Luiz, Moura etc to help entice him. Alternatively he might even decide he's finished with top level football and prematurely return to Brazil. Lots of players do that towards the end of their careers.

Dunno about Mbia and Aduriz. Good players, definitely not top class but will also not demand big pay packets. Might be good depth/ first XI fringe additions for maybe Juventus or Internazionale or Napoli. Great value for money in those deals - that's the modus operandi of major Serie A clubs these days and them two players align just perfectly.

Khedira - will most probably go to arsenal
Alves - probably p$g for a final big payday
Mbia - who the hell cares he's dogshit, he couldn't even look good at QPR ffs.
Aduriz - he is basque so there's all sorts of complications there, he will probably retire though he is 33 after all.

Khedira would be a good signing for us. Powerful box to box runner, and shows good leadership qualities.

On a free we would be mad not to be interested.

Khedira is pretty underrated. Letting him go to Arsenal unchallenged on a free would be madness unless we bring someone in of equal quality or more. Think he'll end up at Bayern though. Heaven knows they need another midfielder!

Certainly I'd take him, especially on a free.

Now that we have Carrick, Blind and Fellaini, I don't think we'll need Khedira. Alves on the other hand.... as much as I dislike the guy I think he's a good player and can compete well with Rafael for the spot.
