So did anyone catch it on the Beeb. Incredible footage as always. The footage of the flying fish was incredible.

Especially after the way the graphic in the opening credits starts. Yes I didDid you know that the middle of life is if ?
Fantastic as always from the BBC.
Its repeated tonight on BBC4Fecking missed it. Livid.
Its shows like this that HD tellies are made for, will be nowhere near as good on iPlayer![]()
It's also available in hd on iplayer.
The fact that seal survived was unbelievable. The grebes' dancing and walking on water was unbelievable.
Yeah the one time I was sick I don't have HD.
It amazes me how anyone can watch a program like that and not accept the theory of evolution. Sort of makes me agree with Dawkins that creationists are generally just ignorant to anything that doesn't support their theory.
Anyway, that's another thread, great show.
Your right about it belonging in a different thread. I'm an evolutionist but Dawkins is a dick as well. Any way, what gets me is we can watch programs like that then allow countries like Japan, Iceland, Norway, etc to carry on murdering the planets whales and Dolphins. All for somethng that is really just a delicacy. Were not taking Inuits that relied on the whales for survival. How any of them can argue that they should just be treated like fish is beyond me.
Also when i watch programs like Life, Planet Earth, The Blue Planet etc. The concepts of man in general, politics, war and so on, starts to look so silly, petty and insignificant. I'm about to donate some more money to greenpeace now.
Yeah I must admit I though they'd be flipping off the top of a wave and going about 5/10 m max not 200.My jaw genuinely dropped when I saw those flying fish, i'd never seen anything like that before!
They had nature's greatest events last year which was pretty good but i think this is better. Next week's show is about reptiles apparently
I disagree completely, there's not much difference between eating a whale or a fish or a cow.
Not to mention that cows are a long fecking way short of being an endangered species and man is proactively altering the global landscape to faciliate the breeding of more and more cows, whilst simultaneously fecking up the oceans in such a way that the population of whales is being decimated.
I do have a lot of concerns about eating some species of fish, as it happens, but I'm not bothered in the slightest about chowing down on cow.
Anyone watching tonight's episode?
Just seen thousands of starfish and massive, metre long worms slowly consuming the corpse of a seal, in the antartic, using time lapse photography, in glorious HD.
Mental.
