Anyone here seen it? Hows the show? Looks interesting but wanted to know if anyone here seen it and liked it?

Great show, very simple idea, that is to work out which person is lying, but it is effective how they do it. Might not be to everyone's liking as sometimes it can be a bit repetitive, but I enjoy it. Also, Tim Roth is brilliant as the lead character.

New series start on Thursday on Sky 1.

Well already downloaded them and watching the pilot now.

I'm tired of these disgusting torrent sites having every show available for download

Hmm watched 20 minutes of it right now and it looks good. I'l catch up to the current season oft his. Won't be that big a job. Just 23 episodes :D

My favourite episode is the one with the cocky rapist/blinder.

Mine to, the beginning of that episode was very shocking. Just wasn't expecting that. Good series, second season starts delving into the characters more and Roths gets some better scripts to get his acting chops around.

I like the CIA guy that is shagging Torres (she's only 23, i had her down as older).

He gets badly hurt in one episode and then is never mentioned again. Is he dead or what?

I watch the first season, but I don't find it that much interesting to follow it like I do with House.

The theme with TV series nowadays lean towards to have one guy who is basically a genius, and solve the problems with his intellect rather than his muscle. There are about 5 series which followed this pattern, House, Lie To Me, The Mentalist, Psych, White Collar. The Mentalist and Psych even have similar premise, centres around a guy who can read people and his surroundings and pose around as a psychic.

Except THe Mentalist is crap.

Lie to me is very good. Having a film actor in Tim Roth playing the lead elevates it above most televison dramas, he's just that much better at acting.

Plus his character is an absolute cnut. Brilliant stuff.

Absolutely loving this show :D

Yeah it really is much better than Mentalist and the shitty Castle

I have absolutely always hated Tim Roth (since the days I watched him in Rob Roy) up until i started watching this show...absolutely brilliant.

I just want it to get a tad little "darker" then what it is like at the moment. But loving the show.

Tim Roth's hand movements and over acting are very hard to deal with. Plus his daughter is very annoying as is the character Foster.
Torres is hot though and so is Melanie George who is in it for a few episodes in the second series.

I saw the first season over the holidays and I liked it. There are a couple of annoying things about it but overall it's very watchable. Not quite as gripping as House but it's not bad at all.

Lynott I don't know how much of it you've seen but I found Foster really, really annoying for the first half of the season but after that the actress (whose name I don't know and I can't be bothered to Wiki) seems to grow into the character. Agree about it for the first half though.

Roth's class though. He's such a good actor it's incredible. His movements are completely built to the character, down to the smallest detail. He's not overacting, he's actually fully acting in a world where people can get away with conveying basic emotion as acting. Anyone else notice how his accent is off though? As if he's been forced to make it more English for the benefit of Americans?

One of the great mysteries.

One more episode of season 2 to go then its 3rd season starts in Novemeber. Someones going to die in the finale. I've enjoyed this series but I really want to see him go up against a real Hannibal Lecter type of character.

I can't believe they've canceled it. It's such a good show
