Granted, Saturday was a terrible result but if you analyse the game properly we probably totally dominated the match for 75 minutes of the 90. I thought we played exceptionally well and we should have scored several times only to have been denied by two clearances off the line. A very clever tactic up against Beck's free kick I thought (very suprised nobody else seems to put anyone on each post).
To be fair we are playing well but just seem to be lacking that finishing touch which will come in time (hopefully not too long), it will just take one thumping & we'll end up going on a suberb unbeaten run just like we always seem to when we've been wounded. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

trying to be optimistic but
1&gt; spurs are above us !!!!
2&gt; arsenal are rolling on relentlessly (can anyone stop them?)

ok, points wise we're still not that far off the top & traditionally we kick into gear after Christmas. But this time we need to look a little deeper.

Loads of injuries, constantly changing lineups, players out of form, lack of depth in the squad, outside influences affecting the concentration of the squad.

It all adds up.

I'm not too bothered about us panicing, as long as the team don't panic.
We're struggling, the injuries have taken their toll but more importantly the player who are fit, some of them atleast, seem to be playing with no confidence.

Ruud - Out of form, and his head seems to be dropping and not willing to shoot when he has the chance, trying to walk it in.
Becks - Is trying to do the complicated things first. Always looking for the defence splitting pass rather than getting down the wing and putting in a good cross.
Giggs - Too interested in scoring for himself, rather than fulfilling his role as a winger. Run at the defender, scare the shit out of him then get the ball in the box.
Forlan - Not getting enough minutes, the lack of goals/chances must be starting to pray on his mind
Mickey - To interested in the attacking side of his game. Maybe if Giggs was playing as a left winger he wouldn't have to get forward allthe time. I've nothing against him getting forward, he one of the best in the business at it, but he has to remember he's a defender.
Veron - Don't get me started

The injuries has caused a lot of team changes and this has not helped, of course. But the players are trying to over complicate the game.
We're not in crisis, but we do have problems.
Don't think i'm being over pesimistic but i needed to take out my frustration at watching a team full of potential struggling do much

You may also notice Birmingham and West Brom etc are above us, doesnt matter. We are six games in to the season, and while two defeats already is worrying, I believe when the injuries clear up and we strengthen our squad at Christmas, I am in no doubt we can have a good run.

it's early days yet fellas
no need to worry ...
but the thing i feel is that Utd need to pass the ball around more in the last third to draw the defenders out
we've become a 'lil predictable ... always trying to go down the middle
Fergie needs to get back to basics ... a variation in style of play is a refreshing change
