if we win-
i can’t shake the feeling that we’re back. every small victory is followed by a big one. the togetherness, the spirit, that “we’re manchester united, we’re never beaten.” it’s back. we’re back. there are players i love all over the pitch, many of which that this time last year i wouldn’t piss on if they were stung by wan bissaka’s hair. my heart is here. my soul is here. i would bleed for this club. just like these players would bleed for this club. every signing has been on-point. forget the money, they’ve all improved us tangibly. i’d have called you crazy if you told me this time last year that this would be us. that this would be where we were. there is no ceiling.
ten hag has done this. this is all on him. it’s statue time. he has made us one. turning liverpool over at anfield. we’re all bald this day.
if we lose-
all very well winning the micky mouse cup and a few dead rubber matches against the cheating spanish when there’s no pressure but what is ten hag doing that’s any different to ole? he’s just had a new manager bounce in a season disrupted by the world cup. and he’s bought a load of midgets from holland. i expected more for such an outlay over the summer. liverpool have turned us over with a team loaded with geriatrics. the smell of piss might put you off a bit but not enough over 90 minutes. no enough to lose your man at a set piece or allow them to waltz through you. the game needed to be stopped for henderson’s banana to be mashed up ffs.
casemiro’s legs are gone. he’s just here for a pay cheque. ten hag still thinks he’s managing in the dutch league. news flash. he’s not. this country actually matters
opportunity lost here. we’re still not quite good enough to turn liverpool over at anfield and that’s a concern for me. klopp is cracking up, their squad is a shambles, but still he couldn’t out-tactic the toothy tweaker. he’s got us playing marginally better football but at this stage conte or poch may have proved the wiser choice. we’d have probably won today with either of them at the helm. how long do we persist with the failing ten hag experiment? how long do we keep pulling our trousers down for mediocrity? the season is done. time to re-evaluate in the summer. i doubt the qataris would even look up from their homophobia to bid for us at this stage.
if we draw but play badly-
we’ve got away with one there. the pressure was on with city and arsenal both winning yesterday and yet again we’ve proved we’re not ready to mix it with the big boys. even van gaal got a win here with the likes of mata in the starting line up and lvg was a boring dutch. it feels like we’ve gone backwards and the season will just peter out from here.
the attitude seems to be “we’ve won our trophy, let’s give up.” this isn’t good enough for united. ole knew that, he just didn’t have the backing of the board to buy his kind of dross like ten hag has. another decade in the wilderness beckons. a carabao cup win is akin to chalking a notch on your bedpost for banging your sister during an apocalypse. if that is carries on, i don’t think i’ll still be here with the last of us.[\s]
