if we win-

i can’t shake the feeling that we’re back. every small victory is followed by a big one. the togetherness, the spirit, that “we’re manchester united, we’re never beaten.” it’s back. we’re back. there are players i love all over the pitch, many of which that this time last year i wouldn’t piss on if they were stung by wan bissaka’s hair. my heart is here. my soul is here. i would bleed for this club. just like these players would bleed for this club. every signing has been on-point. forget the money, they’ve all improved us tangibly. i’d have called you crazy if you told me this time last year that this would be us. that this would be where we were. there is no ceiling.

ten hag has done this. this is all on him. it’s statue time. he has made us one. turning liverpool over at anfield. we’re all bald this day.

if we lose-

all very well winning the micky mouse cup and a few dead rubber matches against the cheating spanish when there’s no pressure but what is ten hag doing that’s any different to ole? he’s just had a new manager bounce in a season disrupted by the world cup. and he’s bought a load of midgets from holland. i expected more for such an outlay over the summer. liverpool have turned us over with a team loaded with geriatrics. the smell of piss might put you off a bit but not enough over 90 minutes. no enough to lose your man at a set piece or allow them to waltz through you. the game needed to be stopped for henderson’s banana to be mashed up ffs.

casemiro’s legs are gone. he’s just here for a pay cheque. ten hag still thinks he’s managing in the dutch league. news flash. he’s not. this country actually matters

if we draw but play well-

opportunity lost here. we’re still not quite good enough to turn liverpool over at anfield and that’s a concern for me. klopp is cracking up, their squad is a shambles, but still he couldn’t out-tactic the toothy tweaker. he’s got us playing marginally better football but at this stage conte or poch may have proved the wiser choice. we’d have probably won today with either of them at the helm. how long do we persist with the failing ten hag experiment? how long do we keep pulling our trousers down for mediocrity? the season is done. time to re-evaluate in the summer. i doubt the qataris would even look up from their homophobia to bid for us at this stage.

if we draw but play badly-

we’ve got away with one there. the pressure was on with city and arsenal both winning yesterday and yet again we’ve proved we’re not ready to mix it with the big boys. even van gaal got a win here with the likes of mata in the starting line up and lvg was a boring dutch. it feels like we’ve gone backwards and the season will just peter out from here.

the attitude seems to be “we’ve won our trophy, let’s give up.” this isn’t good enough for united. ole knew that, he just didn’t have the backing of the board to buy his kind of dross like ten hag has. another decade in the wilderness beckons. a carabao cup win is akin to chalking a notch on your bedpost for banging your sister during an apocalypse. if that is carries on, i don’t think i’ll still be here with the last of us.[\s]

I won't reply.

Ridiculous take OP. I couldn't disagree more.

Fair but he does so much for the overall balance on the right side, stretching play, creating space, tracking back.
We don't have anybody even close to his contributions to replace him. And if you say Pellistri so help me dog..

Do you work for talksport perchance?

I disagree with the OPs words on the subject and the result of the game we have just played.

When will the FA do something about Klopp's antics on the touchline?

He's got away with shouting and screaming at the fourth official for years....but surely ripping off his shirt and shaking nipple tassels at the linesman is something no one wanted to see!

A line has been crossed!

the worst part was him, splayed on the touchline, begging carragher to give him ‘sloppy kloppy’.

Good thread for people to be accountable pre match

Honestly we are on the right track but people are getting far carried away. We have one of the most expensive teams in the world in every way, and are gonna finish a distant 3rd in our league. The performances are good. Let's get carried away if we are performing at the top of the league and the CL. Still a great season and on the right track it is so clear. Tomorrow not important as we are playing for fourth

If we draw and play well is the most prescient of the different scenarios. It captures the posting style of a hardcore group of ETH “sceptics” with uncanny accuracy. “A concern for me” is a great way of sticking the boot in while looking all fair and reasonable.

yeah i really am the best.

If united are rimmed in the first half, this thread won't last till the end of the game.

Win lose or draw… I think you underestimate how United people are in their opinion that ETH is doing a great job and is the manager to take us back to the top.

The only disagreements and what will change according to results whether or not we are title challengers this year. Currently a small minority, including me, think we could well be, if we keep getting results more will switch to this opinion.

Sorry didn’t see the please don’t post. If I saw I would have surely respected your request not to post until after the match.
